A significant portion of Mr. Drescher’s practice consists of matrimonial and family law. He provides advice and counsel with regard to distribution of marital property, spousal support, custody and visitation, child support, as well as issues of paternity, pre-nuptials, protective orders, and enforcement of Family Court Orders. In addition, Mr. Drescher helps his clients with certain estate, probate, real property and minor criminal matters.

Mr. Drescher was admitted to the New York Bar on November 16, 2017, and the Massachusetts Bar on November 20, 2014. He received his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts, before returning to his home town of Albany, New York. He received a Bachelors of Arts from Siena College, with a double major in Political Science and Marketing, and a Certificate in Pre-Law. Mr. Drescher participates in several legal organizations, including the New York State Bar Association, Albany Bar Association, and American Bar Association.

In his limited spare time, Mr. Drescher is proud to serve his community as an active Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). He is an avid sports fan.

Diligent, ethical, morally decent and caring human being
One doesn't expect to actually like their family law attorney as a person - it's just such a generally combative business. If you're lucky, your attorney will know the law and they will do the research and argue the facts well on your behalf. Joseph Drescher went so far beyond that standard for our family. Highly recommended individual that demonstrates what true integrity really is!
Divorce is one of the most difficult and terrifying things a person can go through. I was fortunate enough to find Joseph which answered all my questions and walked me through the process, he really set my mind at ease and made the whole thing seem less intimidating than I feared it would be. Despite the few surprises and setbacks in dealing with the courts and my ex spouses lawyer, he took the reigns and handled it promptly and professionally. I was really impressed with Joseph’s work ethic, knowledge, and understanding of the hardships of going through a divorce. Strategic and Detailed
Joseph Drescher was all ears during our first meeting. He listened to all of my concerns while taking detailed notes and responded to my concerns with honest feedback. He never failed to be upfront in court about my concerns which in turn resulted in my case closing with what I feel is best for my child! He was strategic in navigating my situation based on the respondents typical behavior, therefore, we were able to expose that in court. Very professional and understanding
Helped with a very strange and somewhat embarrassing case involving estranged family members. Was always very compassionate and polite. Was always willing to take the time to explain the options and really stood up for us when the opposing counsel tried bullying tactics. After crawling through a very draining and demeaning family court case, utilizing three different lawyers previously and feeling overly defeated- Joseph came to our rescue. He was dedicated and proactive from the first appearance. His skills and ideas were immediately beneficial towards our position in the case. After having been previously poorly represented I was sure I couldn't bounce back and get the fair trial that I deserved. I had a consultation with Mr. Drescher regarding a potential revision to an original Family Court support and custody order. Joe was extremely prompt. He got back to me within hours of contacting him. He took the time to listen to my concerns and was extremely compassionate and understanding.
