Mr. Stein graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a B.A of History in 1990. Mr. Stein graduated from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center with a Juris Doctor in 1994 and was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 1995. He was admitted to practice before the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York and Southern District of New York in 1995. Mr. Stein was admitted to practice before the courts of the State of Connecticut in 1996 and the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit in 1998.

Mr. Stein is currently a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Southampton Chamber of Commerce, Melville Rotary, & Long Island Association.

Alan C. Stein has been a Rabbi since graduating and obtaining S'micha (Rabbinical Ordination) in 1995 from the Tifereth Yisrael Rabbinical Yeshiva. Since this time Rabbi Stein has dedicated his rabbinical practice to the performance of life cycle events including weddings, b'nai mitzvah, baby naming's, funerals & unveilings. Alan C. Stein is currently the rabbi of Temple Shalom in Woodbury, N.Y.

Mr. Stein has been a Plainview resident since 1996 and is married to Dr. Julie Izen. Together they have three beautiful children, Alexa Brittany, Harley Madison and Harris Randall.
