Peter Joseph Famighetti

I am a passionate and dedicated advocate.  I have represented clients in various forums, including the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Disrtricts of New York, as well as in New York State Courts throughout the region.  Throughout my career that has spanned more than a decade, I have served as a defendants' and plaintiffs' counsel in single and class action employment and civil rights related litigation.  Additionally, I have appeared extensively in cases before arbitration tribunals and administrative agencies, including the New York State Division of Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, New York City's Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings, amongst others.

Prior to entering private practice, I served as a Deputy County Attorney at the Office of the Nassau County Attorney.  During my tenure as a Deputy County Attorney, I represented the County of Nassau and the County's various departments and agencies in employment and labor related matters.  Subsequent to my public service and immediately prior to founding Famighetti & Weinick, I was employed as a senior associate at one of Long Island's and New York City's highly regarded employment and civil rights law firms, handling and managing a complex caseload.
