Andrew M. Doktofsky

I could not speak more highly of, nor recommend more wholeheartedly Mr. Andrew Doktofsky. Filing for bankruptcy is an extremely stressful experience and Mr. Doktofsky's calm and competence restored a sense of control to what felt completely overwhelming. I deeply appreciated that he listened attentiv...ely, was clear, upfront and fair about his fee, was thorough in all preparations, easy and available to communicate with, and prepared me well for each stage of the process, that thanks to his diligence went smoothly.

I've dealt with lawyers most of my adult life, and for the record let me state ( I don't like them ! ) if you are looking for a lawyer with morals , scruples, a straight shooter who has your best interest in mind , you will most likely NOT find it in a lawyer. Having said all of the above I set ou...t trying to find help vacating a judgement against me. I spoke with just about every lawyer on Long Island and most were impatient , rude, or non responsive, until I read a article andrew had written on a similar case as mine, clear ,concise, and factual, with no bs. I'm not a intellectual by no means, I'm a hard working individual with just a high school diploma ( ged) and when I finally went to see andrew I found he was a retired law inforcement officer who had also worked hard all his life, with a sence of justice, compassion, empathy and very humble personality............( NOT YOUR BASIC LAWYER ) I've made a lot of bad decisions in my life, but hiring Andrew was not one of them - in fact it was probably the best decision I've ever made. Andrew had won my case ! But even if we had lost, I would have still felt the same. I'm deeply indebted to Andrew for his help and understanding. I would not hesitate to hire him again , or ask for assistance in any other matter where law is concerned.....thank you Andrew .

I hired Mr. Doktofsky to help me with my Ch. 7 bankruptcy case. I just had a negative experience with a well-known local bankruptcy law firm, and I wanted to hire a different attorney; one that would actually return my calls and respond to my questions. Not only was Mr. Doktofsky very responsive, h...e listened to what I had to say, taking all factors into consideration. He then provided thoughtful, sound and relevant advice. He even called me the day before the meeting of the creditors as a courtesy. Needless to say, the meeting went smoothly, and I believe this can be attributable, in part, to his thoroughness and knowledgeable advice. He is respectful and professional, and I would recommend him without reservation. He helped alleviate much of my stress during a very difficult time in my life.
