Ira A. Sturm

Mr. Sturm was admitted to the New York and Florida Bars in 1977. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Second and District of Columbia Circuits and the District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Mr. Sturm graduated Yeshiva University cum laude (Major: economics) in 1973 and received his Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra Law School in 1976. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a trial attorney for the National Labor Relations Board from 1976-1980. Mr. Sturm is a member of the New York State Bar is a past president of the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway and the Young Israel of Woodmere. Mr. Sturm has a broad background in labor and employment law, representing management, labor and individuals before federal and state, trial and appellate courts and governmental agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Public Employment Relations Board, the Public Employment Realations Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New York State Industrial Board of Appeals and the New York City Commission on Human Rights. He also has extensive experience in labor-management negotiations
