Tough, smart, caring

Gail was my attorney for my divorce and in several encounters with my ex thereafter. She is smart, tough and caring - the latter, being an attribute that I believe is hard to find in such a business.

Highly recommend

Gails expertise and reliability helped ease my divorce process. I appreciated the confidence I had in her representing me. I had many questions and she was always there with an answer and explanation which was important for me. I have and will continue to recommend Gail.

Experience matters

I used Gail Kenowitz as my attorney in my recent divorce, on the recommendation of a psychotherapist friend who had witnessed Gail 'cut through the nonsense' with other high conflict divorces. From the first meeting I found Gail kind, reliable, knowledgeable and experienced. She really brought a 'b...ig-picture' view to our negotiations, encouraging us to compromise, and ultimately saving us time and money by resolving our case within a year. Her collegial relationships within the court system probably helped , as she was able to reliably set my expectations at every stage in the process. Gail created an individualized divorce agreement that was very specific to our situation. She was thoughtful and thorough in drafting our agreement, and I believe this will prevent future conflict. Gail was responsive by phone or e-mail when I had questions. I could not recommend her more highly. Thank you Gail.

Great for Marital Legal Services!

I was introduced to Gail by a mutual friend of ours that is a reputable real estate attorney in Queens to prepare my prenup. Gail provided first class service starting from the initial consultation through execution. During my initial consultation, Gail thoroughly examined my personal situation and... understood my hot buttons so she could draft a document that was custom tailored to my needs. She did not just fill out a standard legal template, but creatively incorporated clauses and mechanisms that protected my rights while ensuring they did not push the boundaries of being unenforceable. Additionally, she had a strong understanding of structures that are practical to administer in real-life situations through her extensive experience in divorce lawsuits & settlements and was able to provide invaluable advice on items to include in the document. The final work product thoroughly addressed all my concerns, while also being easy to follow and understand. I was not only impressed by the quality of Gail’s work product, but also by her professionalism and accommodation. She was accessible to discuss any questions or comments I had – she responded quickly to e-mails with thorough explanations and made herself available for calls to have discussions on complex issues. Even at time of signing, she adjusted her schedule to work with the rest of the parties involved. It is refreshing that clients are not forced to work around her schedule – instead, she respects her clients’ time. It was a great pleasure working with Gail. While I hope my life circumstances will not require her services in the future (i.e. divorce), she would be the only attorney I would want to work with in such circumstances. I understand from others that she truly shines in representing clients in divorce situations.
