Biography
Michael J. Reilly, Esq. is a native New Yorker. He received his Bachelor of Science from Saint John’s University in 1988, where he graduated with Honors. Received his Juris Doctor from Saint John’s University of Law in 1991. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and admitted to the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Federal District Courts of New York State. He has been admitted Pro Hac Vice in other States for cases that needed his expertise.
Michael J. Reilly, Esq. has been in his own private practice since 1994 and has handled many areas of law with a focus on divorce, family law, criminal law and civil litigation.
Prior to his entry into his own private practice he was employed as an Associate Attorney with a major New York Law Firm and prior thereto was with the District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Reilly is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, member of the Family Law/Divorce law section. A former member of the Queens County Bar Association and a member of the Family Law/Divorce Law section. Mr. Reilly has also served as a Small Claims Arbitrator in Queens County Civil Court, Small Claims Part.
Mr. Reilly continually updates his knowledge in all areas of law through continuing legal education so as to be kept current with the ever changing law and trends in the courts.
Mr. Reilly personally handles each and every case, your case will never be assigned or delegated to another attorney. Each client is treated with respect and dignity no matter what the matter. All clients are personally handled by Michael J. Reilly, Esq. himself and not, as in most firms, delegated out to an associate attorney with little if any experience. Mr. Reilly truly believes that in order to represent an individual zealously and with tenacity, all facts should be acquired first hand from the client and not from a file or a memo.
He truly believes that in order to properly represent an individual in the complex area of the law, that person’s attorney must be fully vested in all the facts and the relevant law of each case and that is the reason he painstakingly handles each case personally. Mr. Reilly’s clients deal directly with him in the preparation and drafting of pleadings, preparation of financial documents, drafting of motion papers, preparation for examinations before trial and trial.

He’s a crook! RUN as fast as you can! Must avoid his wife who answers the phone and gives legal advice that she has no business doing. Michael is not capable of doing anything for you! His incompetence and anger form a dangerous combination! AVOID HIM ANY WAY YOU CAN!
