Terrible lawyer

I made the mistake of not researching before hiring Mr.Freer I was in need of a criminal defense attorney which he said he was. I later found out he misrepresented himself & is a traffic lawyer. After giving him a retainer of $2000 I realized I had made a mistake. He is very personable at first .......... then changes his word & promises countinusly. If I would of checked his Avvo rating...... which is 0. I would not have hired him. Be very weary....... once he has your money he will say anything to charge you to keep it. He tried to charge me for the free consultation & non existent phone time. When that didn’t work he said it was reviewing my case file. I was lucky & was able to get my money back .... only after telling him I would go to the bar Association for his misconduct if he did not refund me. He also doesn’t have an office. I met him at a law firm he said he was in the process of moving his practice to but upon contacting them, I was told he has no affiliation with & does not have an office there. If you check his webpages, he has different addresses on them. I can’t say how he is as a traffic lawyer as I terminated before going to court. Just be weary & research before hiring. Good luck

Hired Mr Freer, But I Wish I Didn't

Mr Freer decided to take my case for a large fee. He did a poor job of arguing on my behalf. I ended up with the same outcome I would have had if I went alone. He was wrong and provided numerous false claims.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
