I am so grateful I was led to Elena (Laney) Greenberg to take over my divorce Case as my first attorney was not moving things along and unavailable. I hired Laney on Valentine's Day (Yes) and 4 months into my case I was signing the agreement in her office. No one who gets married plans on getting divorced, but if you find yourself in a tough situation Laney is your best bet. I had a fairly uncomplicated divorce, but my communication with my ex was challenging because his lawyer was largely unresponsive. Laney was on top of the ball and I felt confiden...t that should could handle any legal challenges that arose. She was very kind to me in answering my questions, and was very easy to get in touch with. Although we didn’t do mediation, I think Laney’s approach helped ensure a swift and fair resolution for both parties. While I hope to never use Laney again (ha!), I’d recommend a friend to her in a heartbeat.

When I hired Fass and Greenberg, it was because I needed the very best. I thought my divorce would be easy. We had signed a mediation agreement within a year of separation, and I had made several concessions in the agreement. I never thought things would get so complicated. When I was taken back ...to court, I had hired a different attorney that I thought was adequate for my defense, but the bills started to add up and no end was in sight for a finalized divorce. After staving off a challenge and a renew/reargue to my original agreement, I was summoned to Brooklyn for a preliminary appellate hearing with a retired judge that seemed to be friendly with my wife's attorney. She was professional, fair, responsive, and smart, and she gave great advice which is so important during a divorce. When it came time to go to the Supreme Court in Brooklyn, Flo also was involved. They made me feel important, and their defense strategy was pivotal in the Supreme Court ruling in my favor. In divorce, there is no winner, but they helped me avoid being a loser. I think if I kept my original attorney, then I would have lost. Years later, I summoned them again to write a modification and finalize my divorce. Everything had finally worked out. Divorce is incredibly difficult to say the least. Elena (Laney) walked me through each step and was always available to answer any questions I had (which was a ton).
