Making the Best of a Bad Situation

When I hired Fass and Greenberg, it was because I needed the very best. I thought my divorce would be easy. We had signed a mediation agreement within a year of separation, and I had made several concessions in the agreement. I never thought things would get so complicated. When I was taken back ...to court, I had hired a different attorney that I thought was adequate for my defense, but the bills started to add up and no end was in sight for a finalized divorce. After staving off a challenge and a renew/reargue to my original agreement, I was summoned to Brooklyn for a preliminary appellate hearing with a retired judge that seemed to be friendly with my wife's attorney. At that point, although I knew that my agreement was more than adequate, I realized that I needed to look for the best attorney available. I hired Fass and Greenberg, and Elena(Laney) took my case. She was professional, fair, responsive, and smart, and she gave great advice which is so important during a divorce. When it came time to go to the Supreme Court in Brooklyn, Flo also was involved. They made me feel important, and their defense strategy was pivotal in the Supreme Court ruling in my favor. In divorce, there is no winner, but they helped me avoid being a loser. I think if I kept my original attorney, then I would have lost. Years later, I summoned them again to write a modification and finalize my divorce. Everything had finally worked out. I have Fass and Greenberg to thank!
