About me

It has always been my desire to tailor my representation of each client to their individual goals and desires. I listen to my clients and I advise them accordingly. Although an amicable negotiated settlement is often the goal, I have successfully conducted numerous trials and hearings on behalf of my clients. These include cases with complex financial issues as well as cases involving acrimonious custody litigation. I have handled matters in various courts including Supreme Court and Family Court. My firm practices in Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties as well as in all five boroughs of New York City. I have been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell since 2002, and was selected as one of Long Island's "Top Rated Attorneys" by ALM Legal Leaders in 2014 & 2015. I have also been recognized by Long Island Pulse Magazine as a "Legal Eagle" in 2013, 2014 and 2015; and have been published and selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers, the New York Metro Edition, which is an honor awarded to less than 5 percent of attorneys in the state. I have offices located in Garden City and in Hauppauge.

  • Neil Richard Cahn

I endorse this lawyer. Given a choice, Andrew relies on civility, collegiality and sense of humor to work through a case to a reasonable settlement. But if necessary, Andrew has the skills to take his case to trial. His confidence and charm make him a great lawyer.

Case nameOutcome
Goldman v GoldmanThe trial court granted all "relief" sought by our client and she received 50% of the marital estate (together with an award of legal fees) notwithstanding that her husband sought a large separate property credit.
Freiser v LopezAfter a protracted trial, and despite the fact the the "Custody forensic report" was in favor of the father, I nonetheless secured residential custody of the parties' child for our client, the mother.
Seeback v SeebackThe trial court rendered a decision which gave my client, the mother, sole custody and sole decision making, and limited the father to supervised visitation. The trial court also awarded a disproportionate share of the marital estate to my client.
