Neil Richard Cahn

I strongly recommend Neil Cahn for any and all matrimonial, custodial and family issues. I went through a rather lengthy, complex and messy divorce. Prior to retaining Neil, I wasted a considerable amount of time, money and emotional health on insignificant issues. I felt like there was no hope or... end in sight. Neil changed everything. I met Mr. Cahn through a friend many years ago. I was young and going through a very messy divorce. Previously, I had hired a very well-advertised law firm. The retainer they charged was every penny I had in my savings. Almost 6 months had gone by, I called them, wrote them and even showed up at t...heir office, yet my attorney was never available and never responded to any correspondence. Upon meeting with Mr. Cahn, he accepted my case even though I did not have money for a retainer. He listened to my story and wanted to help me. I was fearful as I was being bullied & threatened by my husband and broke. Within a day Mr. Cahn obtained and order of protection for me. By that week's end he hand written a letter to my previous attorney, explaining he had taken the case. Within 60 days, the previously law firm refunded 100% of the retainer I had given them, Mr. Cahn had somehow managed to get my divorce case on the court calendar. When my court date arrived I was very nervous about seeing my husband. Mr. Cahn waited for me in the court parking lot, escorted me into the building and brought me to a conference room to wait to be seen by the judge so I wouldn't feel intimidated by my husband. As I suspected, the case would be postponed several times by my husband's attorney. I was concerned about the legal fees that could mount up however Mr. Cahn assured me that if for any reason my husband did not pay the attorney fees, he would work something out with me. By the time the case was resolved, I had agreed to pay my own attorney fees because I wanted to get out of the situation. Mr. Cahn's words were seared in my head, he said "Donna, I am fully aware of your financial position, I will bill you monthly, just send what you can"! Mr. Cahn billed me monthly and I sent him what I could. There were months I could only send him $25. However every month the bill would come in, I sent him "something". Years later I needed Mr. Cahn's services again. He pulled my previous file and joking mentioned that he had stopped billing me. I had no idea! I asked him how much I still owed him. He hesitated. I pursued the matter and he eventually told me it was $800.00. Mr. Cahn is a true gentleman. He did not want the money. His primary concern was and has always been for me and my safety. I trust Mr. Cahn with ALL my affairs. He has always done the right thing by me and my family. I still use his services today. And I am proud to say that Mr. Cahn has always come through for me. Mr. Cahn is honorably and fair. I wouldn't have come through many difficult situations over the years without him.

Neil Cahn is an excellent attorney who is able to get complex divorces resolved without having to resort to a scorch-the-earth approach.
