Forever Grateful

I would sincerely like to extend my appreciation and gratitude to Mr. George Terezakis and his entire staff. I was arrested for a serious crime, which resulted in being detained by Immigration after completing an eight-month sentence. Although, I was a legal resident for almost 30 years with all ...of my family living in the U.S. including my children, parents and siblings, I never became a U.S Citizen. After completing a sentence, it was extremely stressful to be detained with the risk of being removed from the U.S. from my family, friends and the life that I worked so hard to build since coming to this country. He and his staff guided my family and I through the stressful removal proceedings. They were always available for our numerous calls and emails. He was always honest about the timeline of the case and guided us through next steps. Mr. Terezakis was thoroughly prepared for hearings and ultimately won my trial! His preparedness was even mentioned during the trial by the Judge as she stated it allowed for the trial to move quickly and efficiently. I truly appreciate him taking the time to visit me while in jail to discuss details of the case and to ensure that I was prepared for trial. I was nervous, scared and afraid and Mr. Terezakis eased my worries. I currently reside in the U.S. thanks to the hard work of Mr. Terezakis and his team. He is very knowledgeable about Immigration Law and I highly recommend him to those that are dealing with a difficult deportation case. I was given another chance to return to my children, family and friends and all thanks to the hard work of Mr. Terezakis and his staff. I will be forever grateful and look forward to working with him again when I become a U.S. citizen.

Outstanding Immigration and Criminal Defense Lawyer

I had been an upstanding, productive permanent resident of the United States for over 35 years. A few years ago, I had been charged with two criminal convictions. Although I had successfully complied with all the rules of the court, and had no more violations, I was detained at the airport, returnin...g from a vacation, faced with deportation. My wife and I were shocked and confused not knowing where to turn. Mr. Terezakis had excellent reviews,so I hired him to handle my case. Mr. Terezakis is very knowledgeable in both criminal defense and immigration law, and very well- prepared in court. Neither my previous lawyer who handled the prior convictions, nor the judge, informed me what could and did happen down the road! Mr. Terezakis is sympathetic and non-judgmental. However, he tells you all the possible outcomes of the hearing.Since the judge presiding over my case had a reputation for being rather "tough" he suggested bringing in a medical expert to give testimony regarding my case.Mr. Terezakis, as well as my wife and I, wanted to avoid an "appeal" since I am in my mid-70s and that could have dragged on another two years, not to mention the extra expense! I took his advice, because I had a great deal of respect and confidence in him from the start. I won the case and am no longer living in fear of being deported and torn away from my loved ones. I can move forward and enjoy the few remaining years I have left with my family. I would highly recommend Mr. George Terezakis without any reservations. He gave me my life back! Thank- you!

Very competent and trustworthy lawyer!

George Terezakis is an immigration lawyer that I would recommend to my best friend or family member. In fact, I retained George to help my sister who was at that time under ICE custody. It was a very complicated case involving child custody and criminal arrests. He managed to get my sister out of cus...tody in one week, worked with her criminal lawyers to get a deal that would have the least effect on her eligibility for an immigrant visa and, at the end, got her deportation proceeding terminated and her visa approved. I recommend George for the following reasons: - he is also a criminal lawyer and, therefore, has more experience and a better understanding of the criminal law than many other immigration lawyers. - he and his staff (thank you Sumi Hayashi-Maxted and Lorena Alfaro!) are every competent, organized and meticulous. - he and his staff show empathy towards not only their clients but family members as well that are dealing with difficult situations. - he gets along with and is very well regarded by his peers, DAs and judges, having the reputation of an ethical and competent lawyer. I could go on and on describing the amazing service provided by George Terezakis and his office. At the end of the day, when we are dealing with immigration ordeals, all we want is for our loved ones to come home quickly and move on with their lives in this country, and that's what George provided to my family and, for that, I am forever grateful!

Outstanding Attorney

Mr. Terezakis displayed genuine concern and empathy towards my situation. From our first meeting, till the end of my case he was always available and handled numerous adjournments for my benefit. His personable manner made me at ease and made me feel like I was more than a client. I can't say enoug...h to praise Mr. Terezakis for his professionalism and knowledge of the law. I will truly be grateful to him forever!

GOT MY GODSON ASYLUM, SAVING HIM FROM POTENTIAL DEATH

I heartedly recommend George Terezakis as an effective immigration lawyer. After months of persistent and forceful work, George Terezakis was successful in winning my godson, a Mexican native, an order of withholding from deportation. Now my godson lives in the United States legally and has a work pe...rmit. My godson’s case was extremely complicated and needed to bring together documentation of hospital records, testimony of intimidation and harm experienced by him, journalistic writing and organizations’ reports of pervasive violence that posed real threats to my godson, and criminal dispositions of his misdemeanors. George Terezakis was able to integrate so much information into a coherent picture in order to present the real dangers that faced my godson. All of this hard work took a tremendous amount time, hours of dedicated resources from his legal team to do research and bolster court findings, and multiple court hearings. During this entire process, George Terezakis never gave up but worked even harder to gain a successful outcome for my godson. Due to my lack of funds, I was unable to pay for a lawyer to represent my godson. I spoke with the legal department of the Legal Aid Society and other community-based organizations that represent immigrants pending deportation in the courts. In speaking with about 30 of these good-willed legal departments, I was told that although my godson’s case had merit, they could not represent him for such reasons as the particular type of court he was in, that the case was too complex, that the organization did not have the staff to handle the research and document gathering required, and/or were simply overwhelmed with too many cases. Initially, a kind priest tried to help, filing petitions to the court and having a series of pro bono lawyers represent him in court. Unfortunately, the petition was incomplete and the lawyers showed up without knowing the case. This process dragged out the case for months without any real progress. When George Terezakis took the case, the entire case was managed anew. The court petition was resubmitted with much for pertinent information, the legal staff spent hours to get relevant information to build up the case, George Terezakis worked with and consulted with my godson and myself every step of the way, he and his staff answered all of my questions about the case with patience and compassion, and George Terezakis was skillful in defending my godson in the court. He won my godson’s difficult case. My godson is the only family I have and I take care of him. George Terezakis took care of my godson as I would myself and he has both enabled him to remain with me and remain in a safer place.
