Michael Manoussos is the founding and managing member of Michael Manoussos & Co PLLC. Mr. Manoussos is admitted to the New York State Bar, the Federal Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Manoussos, a former law clerk to a chief judge, is a distinguished litigation and trial attorney. He is a former Director of the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and former personal counsel to government officials and a county political party leader. Mr. Manoussos was a finance vice-chairman to a United States Senator. Mr. Manoussos advises and represents clients in State and Federal courts.
Michael Manoussos has obtained multi-million dollar settlements and awards for his clients, and has successfully briefed legal issues, including of first impression. Mr. Manoussos provides high-caliber and powerful representation to his clients. Mr. Manoussos was selected as a Life Member to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, "The Top Trial Lawyers in America." Mr. Manoussos was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Assembly of the State of New York.
Michael Manoussos is a former adjunct professor of law and politics, whose opinions on constitutional issues have appeared in the New York Times, etc. Mr. Manoussos is a former Trustee of the State University of New York, Stony Brook Foundation and a Board Member of its National Advisory Board and Dean’s Council. Mr. Manoussos is a Distinguished University Alumni Honoree, Convocation Speaker and Distinguished Department Alumnus.
Mr. Manoussos received his Bachelor of Arts from the University at Stony Brook and his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law. He has completed programs of instruction for lawyers at Harvard Law School and an executive education program at Columbia University Graduate School of Business.

I question the 10 out of 10 rating
He was referred to me by the Queens Bar Association. He broke down the retainer into 3 phases which each had a ceiling of maximum out of pocket expense. I paid for the 1st phase at $1500 which was the negotiating phase but he never asked for additional money to enter into the next phase into the ver...

Replied last July 12, 2016We're sorry the client feels this way. After a year, the client writes this review! As a Bar referral, we extended a very significant fee courtesy. We discussed extensively the options and strategies. We engaged in numerous personal meetings, telephone conferences and voluminous emails (even after hours and on weekends), expounding the relevant legal principles and strategies. The client also approved of everything. We optimized a cost-effective and aggressive strategy to help the client get out of his predicament (as his situation had been exhausted and legal assistance from other prior lawyers had proved unwilling and futile) and to get him some redress for his complaints against his commercial landlord - which worked precisely! We got results. We treated the client specially and we worked long and hard to get him the results he sought from the landlord. But a year after our retention had terminated, the client writes this review. Whatever happened during that year obviously has nothing to do with us. To add insult to injury, the client after writing this stated that he would delete this review if we paid him $1,500. We stand by our work and principles.
