Not because he will not do anything to defend your case, the only noted effort is in calculating the minutes to bill you. Because he will drop the ball, not show up to represent you and repond to your calls and emails days or probably weeks after you reach out to him. Because he will screw you with ...the judge and opposing counsel if it serves his business relationships with them more than a win matters. He's a hack that charges you for screwing you over.

Do not fall into trap. He is the worst attorney you can ever encounter in your life. He is a s a money hungery attorney which is very common but he is one of the worst He is so cheap that his wife work as his own secretory, she has no clue about any thing other than collecting money and taking me...ssages. He would promptly return your calls and messages untill you pay the retainer, after that you will be lucky if he answer your call or email in couple of weeks. There is one thing he is extremely good at which is calculating the minutes for his invoice. I know that he will respond to my review by denying since he denied other reviews before, he will say i did not pay him which is not true, he had money left in the retainer but asked for more money before he continue to work on the case. If you decide to hire him after reading my review, please do not pay him a high retainer as he always requires since he knows that no one usually pay him after depleting the retainer and he will never refund you a penny if you fire him.

I hired mr. Katz for several months. He was mostly professional, over promising, sometimes his work would be satisfactory He would answer 85% of his emails with three or more days of delay and sometimes jot answering them at all. I felt money was his main motivation. Sometimes he would do his own th...ing at court despite being asked to do what the clients ask him to do. I believe in his own way he cared but he would have too many clients to deliver the quality work that other clients are paying him for.

I had one of those Park Avenue lawyers billing me at $700 an hour. A friend of mine who is friends with a judge in Manhattan said to contact Joshua. He will get the job done and done right for less money. I figured if a judge is recommending someone it has to be spot on. And spot on it was. My divor...ce case going on for three years was over within 5 months of hiring Josh! He avoided going to trial and reasoned with my ex and his attorney and got me MORE than I was hoping! I have recommended him to two of my friends and both have hired and love him and his staff! You want something done professionally and compassionately? Then josh Katz and his staff is the way to go!!

I went through a pretty simple divorce, however my ex-wife had a lawyer of questionable ethics and business practices. Josh and the other lawyers at Plaine and Katz helped keep me focused on the end result, and pushed the other lawyer to action and avoid wasting additional money on the non-sense my ...ex-wife and her lawyer chose to argue. The team at plain and Katz made things very straight forward and explained the laws which took the fear out of the divorce from the "horror stories" you hear from others. In the end the law is the law and everything can be negotiated. I would highly recommend Josh and the Plaine and Katz firm in general.
