So my ex-wife was seeking to cause me hardship by filing a frivolous restraining order and also restricting my contact with my boys. I was at my wits end. My current wife suggested I stop the shannanigans and hire an attorney. Up to that point, I had been representing myself but the time had come for... more firepower. My wife recommended I go see an attorney she faced several years prior that represented her ex. She stated that this lawyer gave her hell. So I searched and found the firm. This is where I met Joseph Dujmic. He was very straight forward and provided me with the assurance I needed in dealing with my legal issues. Though he wasn’t the attorney I thought I’d be meeting with, Dujmic was quite knowledgeable and confident in his position. He would eventually become a partner at the firm, so I was definitely in good hands. In addition, he’d been through similar challenges having been divorced with children as well. So, I knew he could relate. I think what was really impressive was how well he knew the judges at the court house. He was professionally friendly with many of them since he spent most of his time there. In the end, I was able to get the restraining order reduced to a “refrain from” order for six months and my visitation time was increased significantly. I’m guessing that when I stepped into court with Dujmic as my legal representative, the judge saw in me someone who was serious about being a part of his children lives. She (magistrate Mariber) even stated several times how I had a good attorney, so I knew it would turn out well....and it did. I’ll never understand men who concede the fight to be in their children lives because of a vindictive ex. You have the power to fix that as long as you’re committed. With attorneys like Dujmic, it’s possible. Of course it’s not cheap but they will work with you as long as you’re committed.

Joe, and the firm he is with (John A. Gemelli, P.C.), came highly recommended to me by a friend who is herself a highly regarded attorney. (She called them "The Kings of Queens".) After meeting with Joe at his office for a consultation, I hired him on the spot for a case we had involving ACS. Havi...ng been an employee with ACS years before, Joe was very knowledgeable about the department, their tactics, their administrative policies, etc... and how best to handle the whole situation. I also found Joe very easy to work with, sympathetic, reassuring, confident, aggressive when necessary but not overly so, timely with his responses to my inquiries, and very reachable via both phone and email. I didn't have a lot of dealings with the support staff, but the few I interacted with were professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend Joe. It was a difficult time for our family, and he made it much better and the case was eventually "vacated."

Joe was everything I needed in a lawyer before I even knew what I needed. I thought the whole process was going to be much simpler but Joe saw three moves ahead and when it got bad it was so much easier because of Joe’s expertise.
