Richard D. Borzouye Helps Family From Being Victimized by a Fraudulent Claim in Supreme Court

Richard D. Borzouye was the attorney for my family which I found him on Craigslist.com. Mr. Borzouye defended my family in which we were victims in a lawsuit filed against us by the plaintiff's attorneys in Suffolk County Supreme Court of New York which not only were we being sued in an excess of app...roximately $25k (not consisting of interest or penalties but, recycled invoices used at different amounts) but also, $20k for "reasonable" attorneys fees. The day before we were scheduled to go out to the Suffolk County Supreme Court for a status conference, the plaintiff's attorneys had sent Mr. Borzouye a text message saying that the status conference had been rescheduled for a another date. Mr. Borzouye immediately called and informed us about the message expressing his disbelief that the status conference was not rescheduled due to the fact that he didn't get any word from the court. Now, coming from Queens, Suffolk County Supreme Court is quite a drive especially if the status conference was rescheduled but, Mr. Borzouye confidently insisted that we make the trip anyway in which we didn't question him, we trusted what he was advising us. So, we went out to Suffolk County Supreme Court, and it turns out...THE STATUS CONFERENCE WAS NOT RESCHEDULED, IT WAS FOR THAT DAY!!! Mr. Borzouye immediately informed the court that he was told via text message by the plaintiff's attorneys that the status conference was rescheduled and that they have advanced false statements to the court. At that time, Mr. Borzouye was called into the Judge's chambers. When he came out, he walked over to my family and I and told us the outcome that I didn't even imagine, that the Judge has dismissed the plaintiff's case without prejudice due to plaintiff's attorneys advancement of false statements to the court. Although dismissed without prejudice, the plaintiff never refiled their suit. Mr. Borzouye's competence, diligence, and knowledge of the law saved my family from having to pay a fraudulant debt, in which we were more than ready if we had to, to provide all necessary evidence to show the plaintiff's fraudulent and frivolous debt. Mr. Borzouye kept in constant contact with us in the interim of the plaintiff's suit since it was filed up to the date when Mr. Borzouye had the plaintiff's suit dismissed. He kept us informed and comfortable, and without even giving him the benefit of the doubt, we were confident that he was the attorney to do right by us, defend us, and ultimately yet, unexpectedly get the plaintiff's suit dismissed.
