Aida Ferrer Leisenring

Aida Ferrer Leisenring is the founder of Leisenring Law & Media and a New York criminal defense trial attorney with 20 years of experience representing individuals facing serious criminal charges in state and federal courts. Leisenring represents clients in New York City, Westchester, and Long Island in complex criminal investigations, prosecutions, and trials. Her experience includes homicide, sex offenses, domestic violence, DUIs, fraud, and other serious felony matters, as well as federal criminal prosecutions, including representation of a defendant in a federal death penalty case that was ultimately deauthorized.

She has tried numerous cases to verdict and has obtained acquittals, dismissals, reduced charges, non-incarceratory sentences, and other favorable outcomes for her clients. Before founding Leisenring Law & Media, Leisenring spent 14 years at Barket Epstein, first as an associate from 2012 to 2018 and then as a partner from 2018 to 2026. Earlier in her career, she was a public defender with The Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, NY. While in law school, she interned at the Innocence Project, where she participated in the investigation and exoneration of Barry Gibbs, who had been wrongfully convicted of murder.
