I was given Terrance Dougherty as my attorney for a house I was purchasing. Was super professional when we first met to go through the process. Once we were in the process, I got very little contact from him. Everything I was supposed to know about the contract or any process in purchasing the house,... I had to do self research. I was always told to do signings after the due date had passed. Even with that, I had not changed attorneys which was probably my mistake. I just wanted to get everything out of the way and purchase the house so during closing, he kept the explanations to a minimum and was on his phone 90% of the time rather than explain what I (his client) am signing. I felt blindsided. Once the closing was done, there were problems with the house and I have contacted Terrance numerous times but he would just ignore me or would reply as short as possible once in a while. I just felt like once he got his pay from me, I was thrown aside with no assistance whatsoever. I really advise he would be more professional in the future and not treat his clients the way he treated me.

Terrance was referred to us by our realtor and he did not disappoint. From our initial meeting, Terrance explained every document we signed and the entire legal process of purchasing our first home. Throughout it all, Terrance was very responsive and even assisted in moving some additional documents ...we needed to ensure a smooth closing. On closing day, he made the process seem so easy and it was! He explained and broke down everything before my husband and I signed. Terrance is a great attorney and I will definitely recommend him!
