A joke

Can’t wait to get the minutes from the court hearing and file a complaint against this judge for biased and being sexist against a father. As a an officer of the court and an active sitting judge in Rockland county family court, someone who took an oath to uphold the law and to be fair and not biased..., she’s a joke and should have her cases reviewed. How does a judge tell a father who is fighting to provide a better life for his child, that everything he says is a lie, meanwhile the mother gets on the stand admits to being neglectful, admits to alienating the child from his father, has her witnesses get on the stand and lie (their stories completely conflict with hers), the mother’s own witness testifies the child is uncontrollable and yet the judge steps in as an attorney and LEADS THE WITNESS into giving her a reason as to why the child is acting out to it goes against the father. Goes to show, “Judge” Tanguay solely goes by the word of the mother, never mind what was proven. Never mind court records. Never mind the mother and her witnesses all contradicting themselves. Instead all the perjury don’t by the mother and her witnesses is forgiven bc the mother CLAIMS she’s a first responder, if you looked at the records, you would have seen that was a lie too. Good job Joke.. I mean Judge Tanguay.

Saved me and was tough when I was not

Rachel is the consummate perfectionist. As an attorney who practices in a different area, I was referred to Rachel by a colleague. We all know how difficult divorces are and post judgment enforcement for child support. Rachel was meticulous, left no stone unturned and helped me stay calm in a foru...m which was emotionally charged. After extensive litigation, Rachel prevailed on the child support claim, reviewed the Court's order, corrected same and due to the manner in which she litigated, I was awarded a substantial portion of attorney's fees as well.

Great Experience

Rachel was my attorney for many years and worked hard to ensure that I could see my boys as often as I was allowed. As the years passed, I was eventually awarded custody of my children and Rachel was even able to obtain attorney's fees due to ex's inability to follow through on any orders issued by ...the court. This would never have been possible without Rachel, she did an excellent job as my lawyer.

Rachel Review

Rachel Tanguay McGuane helped my husband and I walk through our divorce collaboratively. She is very knowledgeable and guided us through every step we needed to take. If we had questions, she took the time needed to answer them and reviewed anything we were not clear with. She kept us well informed a...nd up to date with all our meetings and any additional information we needed.

Highly Professional-Solution Oriented

Rachel Tanguay-McGuane represented a member of my immediate family in a highly contentious divorce that had been purposely drawn out for years by the opposing party who was willfully uncooperative and changed lawyers frequently. Rachel was skilled in keeping on top of the situation and cutting throug...h all the obstacles and the constant changes of opposing counsel to keep the case moving ahead. She gave personalized attention and demonstrated an outstanding level of attention to detail in keeping track of all the complications and haggling over the division of assets opposite a party that tried every maneuver in the book to confound the court system. Rachel remained highly professional throughout always seeking the fairest and most equitable solution to the situation. Rachel has extensive experience and could speak to prior and relevant case law and explain the implications and how these matters would apply and be viewed by the local court. She was able to assertively advocate for the best and most reasonable position to advance and finalize the case. Without her level of determination and dedication, this case would have dragged on much, much longer.
