Saved me and was tough when I was not

Rachel is the consummate perfectionist. As an attorney who practices in a different area, I was referred to Rachel by a colleague. We all know how difficult divorces are and post judgment enforcement for child support. Rachel was meticulous, left no stone unturned and helped me stay calm in a foru...m which was emotionally charged. After extensive litigation, Rachel prevailed on the child support claim, reviewed the Court's order, corrected same and due to the manner in which she litigated, I was awarded a substantial portion of attorney's fees as well.

Rachel Review

Rachel Tanguay McGuane helped my husband and I walk through our divorce collaboratively. She is very knowledgeable and guided us through every step we needed to take. If we had questions, she took the time needed to answer them and reviewed anything we were not clear with. She kept us well informed a...nd up to date with all our meetings and any additional information we needed.

Highly Professional-Solution Oriented

Rachel Tanguay-McGuane represented a member of my immediate family in a highly contentious divorce that had been purposely drawn out for years by the opposing party who was willfully uncooperative and changed lawyers frequently. Rachel was skilled in keeping on top of the situation and cutting throug...h all the obstacles and the constant changes of opposing counsel to keep the case moving ahead. She gave personalized attention and demonstrated an outstanding level of attention to detail in keeping track of all the complications and haggling over the division of assets opposite a party that tried every maneuver in the book to confound the court system. Rachel remained highly professional throughout always seeking the fairest and most equitable solution to the situation. Rachel has extensive experience and could speak to prior and relevant case law and explain the implications and how these matters would apply and be viewed by the local court. She was able to assertively advocate for the best and most reasonable position to advance and finalize the case. Without her level of determination and dedication, this case would have dragged on much, much longer.

One of the Good Ones

My parents’ divorce was unfortunately one of the more tumultuous divorces one would hear about. Years of custody battles, child support hearings, and visitation arguments left me without a voice. During the later years of these custody battles Rachel Tanguay-McGuane became my attorney and my voice. S...he was passionate about the law and was interested in me not just as a client who it was her job to listen to because of the check she’d be receiving, but interested me as a person who existed outside of his parents’ court battles. Attorney-client privilege/confidentiality was of the utmost importance to her. She gave me her work number and email but insisted I take-down her cell number in case of an emergency. Rachel was attentive and patient with me as she guided me through practice testimonies for my appearances before the judge. Her judgment was sound and I respect her work ethic and her kindness is to be admired. Rachel Tanguay-McGuane became not just a lawyer, but a friend who realized I had a voice and gave me the microphone so everyone could hear it. Hopefully no other legal troubles are in my future, but if so, I know which lawyer I would call to represent me. I thank her, and we still keep in touch.

a pleasure to work with

Ms. Tanguay-McGuane helped my husband and I negotiate our separation collaboratively. She is very knowledgeable, thoughtful and thorough. She considers all the parties involved, including and especially the children. Her fees were reasonable. I would work with her again.
