Eric Ole Thorsen

Eric Thorsen represented me through a very difficult divorce case and a 5 day trial. His manner with me as his client and with the court were beyond reproach. He was incredibly perceptive at assessing all parties involved and his wisdom in communicating the facts and circumstances was amazing. Fu...rther, his attitude of empathy even for the other party was admirable. We were successful in obtaining full custody of the 3 children who would otherwise have been at great risk.

I hired Eric after going through a very difficult divorce and child custody dispute. I was in need of a compassionate, intelligent and aggressive attorney. Eric failed to represent me properly, dragged out my case to make more money and put me in a worse position then I already was. Believe me, you'r...e better going with a free attorney then use this one!!!!

Where do I even start? I was hoping for an amicable divorce. My then STBE and i were in agreement on most issues. Thorson promised to guide me in that direction when I retained him. However, he did everything he could to stir up animosity and keep the fight going, I suspect to be able to bill me mor...e. I thankfully realized how unethical he was before we got to trial and found new counsel. But the damage had been done.

I was told, don't hire the lawyer you like. Hire the lawyer you need. And so I got Eric. Is he perfect? No. But if your soon-to-be-ex is a weaseling scoundrel like mine, you better hire the best or you'll be paying for the longest most painful divorce in history. I've seen it happen. Mine? I took Eri...c at face value. Did everything he told me to do down to the letter. And he wins. Bottom line. I did not win every battle but we won the war. You don't like him? Fine. Who cares. He's egocentric. That's how he has to be to navigate the waters of the courts. I paid him a fair amount to get my freedom and he did it. Freida is his best asset. Be nice to her. She always watches your back when the paperwork is front and center. Can't focus? She'll keep you in line. Love this team. I'm paid a lot, no doubt. But I paid less than 2 of my friends that hired a "cheaper" attorney but dragged their cases on for years. One is headed to Supreme Court after 8 years. How is that cheap?

Mr. Thosen is one of those attorneys that will charm his way into your heart and the courtroom. However, when the time comes in court that you need an aggressive lawyer, this one is not for you. Also, he neglected to tell me various details of my divorce and in turn I did not receive the settlement... I think I deserved. If I would have have been made aware of all the issues, I may not have chosen to go to trial. By the way, even if he spends one minute on your case, he will bill you at 15 minute increments. And they add up fast.
