Biography
Luis Andrew Penichet began his career at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office as a Prosecutor, specializing as a senior trial assistant district attorney in Rackets-Narcotics. With over 35 years of experience, Mr. Penichet is a widely recognized criminal defense and matrimonial law attorney in White Plains, New York. Throughout his career, Mr. Penichet has handled literally thousands of matrimonial actions, and is an experienced trial attorney in both the criminal and matrimonial forums. As the founding member of Penichet & Alberga LLP, Mr. Penichet, along with his legal team, have over 100 years of collective experience and have consistently helped clients achieve the best possible results.
Mr. Penichet is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Family Law Section as well as the Westchester County Bar Association, Family Law Section. He was judicially appointed as a member of the Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District in the State of New York for the years 1998 through 2006. He was selected as one of Westchester County’s Top 21 Lawyers by Westchester Magazine and featured in The Best Lawyers of America 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 editions. Mr. Penichet has also appeared in New York Magazine’s “New York Area’s Best Lawyers” for the years 2005 through 2009 and the New York Times “Super Lawyers” section for the years 2007 through 2011.
