Sheri S. Padernacht

We recently engaged Sheri Padernacht to represent us in the sale of our apartment in NYC. Sheri is a ...responsible and capable attorney. She did a fine job, very attentive and professional. I work in real estate and what find is that most attorneys in my area always like to play nice because they all know each other. Sheri on the other likes to the right thing and represents her clients best interest. She doesn’t allow people to walk over her clients and makes sure she always does the l...egally correct thing. She is firm and realistic. If you want an attorney who is going to just move the transaction along and not care, then don’t hire her. If you want an attorney who is going to fight for you then make sure you hire Sheri.

I don’t usually right bad reviews because I believe we are human beings and we all make mistakes, but Sheri is on a whole different level. She is extremely unprofessional and unethical. Does not care for her clients and acts as if they are wasting her time. Regardless of what type of transaction you ...are doing please don’t take anyones recommendation to use her. Especially for real estate. Pay a few dollars more and have someone who will not only protect your interests but will also treat you like a person.

I hired a realtor to sell my house and he suggested I use Sheri Padernacht as my attorney. She prepared the contracts and I signed them. A closing was scheduled for October 5, 2018 the first problem was she arrived after 11:00 the appointment time, she complained from the time of her arrival about ...how she had plans to go to West Point and was in a rush. She was being paid for her presence and legal expertise, I felt like a nuisance. Stewart Title was 1.5 hours late, which she became even more annoyed that she had to leave for West Point. When I questioned the closing statement sent to me by Sheri regarding the missing outstanding equity loan she said she would call the buyers attorney. I do not recall any call back regarding what should be done. And nothing was done! Sheri was also, extremely rude to the Stewart Title Representative because she was in a rush to leave. The final blow was the escrow check given to me from Sheri's account was drawn on a closed account. Very disappointing representation.
