Some might find the title of my review to be an oxymoron, but after finding Micheal Shinski, I can attest it is not! My husband and I just completed working with Michael on our Estate Documents. Michael helped us to not only understand what we were doing, and the decisions we were making, but also di...d it in a way that was both helpful and relaxed. Since this is not easy topic, it was very nice to work with somebody who is low pressure, very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful at every turn. Michael was interested in our ideas, and figured out exactly how to word changes we were requesting to make. His goal was to make sure the documents were 100% accurate in describing our wishes. Estate Planning can be a sensitive topic and this is NOT the type of lawyer that you want to be pushy or argumentative, so we were relieved and happy to find Michael and have already recommended him to our sisters and friends!

I hired Michael to help me with my father and his much over due estate planning. He spent an enormous amount of time and energy explaining the importance of the basic estate planning documents that my father should have in place. My father and I quickly felt comfortable with him and he did a wonder...ful job. Now I know that my father can be taken care of if he needs help in the future.

I was referred to Michael Shilinski by a local real estate appraiser prior to our contract for a home purchase. From the beginning of our home purchase, he presented as capable, conscientious, and responsible. He was immediately helpful in describing the mortgage/contracting process. As first-time ho...mebuyers, we were anxious and unaware of the process and procedures involved in purchasing a home. He made us feel comfortable and worry-free throughout the process. He was able to provide us with a timeline of expectations with regard to our contract, the appraisal, the inspection, and the mortgage expectations. Furthermore, he provided us with additional requirements as homebuyers who were negotiating without realtors. He checked in with us via telephone on a weekly basis and he was readily available to answer questions as they arose. Michael frequently returned phone calls in a timely manner (within that day). Michael seems extremely knowledgeable in his field and provided exceptional advice throughout the process. He made excellent recommendations for additional resources as well. Most importantly, Michael explained all documents at the closing in a comprehensive manner and was well prepared to make the process as efficient as possible. He is a competent, hard-working, professional with an intrinsic concern for his clients. We highly recommend Michael and will definitely seek his guidance with any future legal questions/concerns. It was a pleasure working with him.
