Joseph Salvatore Garafola

I fired Joe Garafola this week, he shouldn't be able to practice law. He doesn't go into his office until 4 in the afternoon. He returns phone calls at a minimum of 3 days, he didn't show up for in-office scheduled appointments on two occasions, and whenever we did meet he was ALWAYS late.. He NEVER ...did anything I asked him to do, we went to court one time and he literally stuttered and shook in fright while talking to the Judge. He was bullied by the opposing counsel and didn't argue one item for me. I am now forced to pay for another attorney. DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON AS YOUR ATTORNEY. KC

Mr Garafola was retained by me in November 2011 in my divorce matter... In the beginning he promised the world and appeared to be competent. However, since December he has missed 4 scheduled appointments without even calling to cancel or say he would be late. I live 25 miles away from his office in ...White Plains, Ny. On 3 other scheduled appointments he was late on each a minimum of 25 minutes. We had two court appearances, he was 35 and 50 minutes late respectively. Court Room Performance Joe was unprepared and disorganized, actually stuttered before the judge and didn't even present what I had wanted and what we agreed he would do.. Further more.. Just last week (March16, 2012) I needed to discuss something that occured with one of my children with him and needed him to take legal action ..I called Joe 26 times from Friday, March 16, 2012 to Tuesday, March 20, 2012. He told me wasn't feeling well... I recceived feedback from my wife's attorney and my employer's attorney Joe was unresponsive and did not return their calls for days as well. Today I was to meet Joe at his office at 11 AM.. He never called me to tell me he would be late, I sat there waiting for him and left at 11:50 am I had to go to work I asked that he give me my paperwork and refund me my retainer and he said "Your F'ing Crazy" and hung up the phone on me.. DO NOT CONSIDER THIS MAN TO REPRESENT YOU.
