Biography
Matthew A. Gates Esq., graduated from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law, Hofstra University after receiving his Masters in Criminal Justice from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Prior to entering law school, he worked as a court officer in Bronx Family Court where he discovered his passion for family law. During this time he received the Courtroom Advocate Project Honor from Sanctuary for Families for his commitment to the safety of domestic violence victims. In 2010, he shed his uniform to pursue the study of law full time and worked as a paralegal in the Bronx during his studies. With 13 years experience working within the Bronx Family Court system, Matt has extensive knowledge of the complexities of family law. He has focused his practice on helping clients navigate the legal process with honesty, respect, and care. His firm serves clients in all five boroughs and Westchester County.
