I will be a return client! 100%

I tried to file my trademark twice and failed but Ms Marie completed the whole process and got my trademark registered. She cold emailed me and I was initially skeptical about hiring her but I took the plunge. Ms Marie can be slow on responding to emails on occasions but that is understandable for an... attorney of her stature and the most important thing is that she got the trademark registered while two other attorneys had written me off!!

Don't walk, run away from this attorney!

I hired Katrina to file two trademarks for a particular class contingent upon approval and she gave a timeline of two weeks. 12 business days after payment she had not communicated at all. She ignored my request for status on the one 4 times over the course of a month before saying it was suspended... and there was no timeline to move forward. I asked for my money back and she said she couldn't because she had already drafted arguments but when I looked at the arguments they did not apply to the class of trademark I filed for. After getting paid she was unresponsive, failed to execute at every turn and refused a refund for a service that she failed to perform that was contingent upon approval. Would recommend doing some research and hiring someone with a better reputation as she cold outreached after my trademark expired. Do not pay the full amount up front either, small retainer and the rest after approval.

Disappointed

I hired Katrina to help with a ™ renewal office action. For some reason she was unable to see the images I emailed her at first, seems like she did not look past the first page of my emails, but I finally got all the images and links to her by splitting it into different emails. She did the submiss...ion (in my name) but did not submit all the items requested by the examiner (and provided to her by me), so I received another office action and now I need to supply images of every single item listed. I emailed her several days ago and got no response, so I had to hire a different attorney to help me get the job done, very disappointed.

Horrible. She failed to do the job the first time then reached out again offering her services

So. When you file a trademark with the USPTO, you get a barrage of emails from Trademark attorneys basically non-stop. I wasn’t even considering HIRING a Trademark attorney, as i had a good understanding of the system, but rather than risk having it bumped back to the point where it would need to be... refiled i decided to hire Katrina. She stated she would handle ALL USPTO office action responses for a flat fee of $250, and with her story of being a disabled mother and working from home, i thought the money was better spent towards her services. Come to find out, she failed to do ANY of the responses required, she filed one form but didn’t attach her name as the attorney for the application nor did she update the mailing address which was ONE of the main reasons it was bumped back. I emailed her repeatedly over the span of weeks, and she failed to get back to me in an appropriate amount of time. Once she DID get back to me, after I had already checked myself on the USPTO site, i pointed out to her the 2 MAJOR issues that 1) she seemed to be aware of and 2) blatantly ignored. When i asked her to please fix her mistake as the USPTO had issued a SECONDARY warning that the same two issues had not been fixed. Despite her assuring me she had. When i mentioned this to her, she immediately became hostile and demanded another $250 payment as she had ‘already completed the job.’ I’m unsure how you can ‘complete a job’ as a TRADEMARK ATTORNEY when the TRADEMARK hasn’t been fully approved due to her lack of updating the information appropriately. She basically risked a Trademark that i have been actively working on and putting money into for nearly 3 years. Not only did she not do her job, but she proceeded to be extremely rude when i pointed out that she had not completed the job i had already paid for, and to demand another ‘flat fee payment’ of $250 otherwise id be ‘asking her to work for free’ is INSANITY to me. That’s a hardcore money grab to not even complete the first job she was hired for, which she failed to do completely. She then reached out to me AGAIN (today 10-23-2024) to offer her services, again reiterating her ‘flat fee of $250’ and her story that clearly is her go -to method to get clients. Maybe she should do her job the first time around and/or update her mailing list? She was rude not just the first time around, but also the second. If she reaches out to you RUN!!!
