Since relatively few co-op buildings that fall within HDFC guidelines, I definitely wanted a lawyer who understood the program and its special regulations. Walter handled my case with the landlord who was suing huge amounts for back rents that were already settled. He subpoenaed an individual who actually showed up to the trial date, he prepared document after document which were all integral to settling the case strongly in our favor. He explained complex systems and made us aware of many things in our lease agreement that we would have otherwise been oblivious to.
