I cannot thank this attorney enough. Very professional.
I like others here was referred to Mr. Axelrod through the Bar Association. Although I was aware of the Bar Association’s high standards, I never needed one of its attorneys until now.
Other attorneys that I contacted previously took days before responding and when they finally did respond it was with missed connections and other annoyances.
Mr. Axelrod’s inner-office infrastructure seems to be very modern, professional and fast and I was able to get actual help quickly. I was able to send documents for review while we were both still on the phone. This was so important to me since I was under a lot of duress and dealing with a very serious housing matter in New York Civil Court that needed immediate attention.
Being able to talk to a real Attorney (Mr. Axelrod) was important. And thats not all. I felt as if Mr. Axelrod was really concerned from the start, and that he knew exactly what I was dealing with and could imagine the best legal approach in resolving my case. I did not feel pressured by Mr. Axelrod to make any commitments during his consultation. And in fact, I was eager to have him come to court and represent me.
Mr. Axelrod is the type of attorney everyone hopes for when looking for an attorney.
I enlisted Peter's counsel to help me navigate my pro se response in a landlord/tenant dispute that I've been embroiled in. He gave me great guidance on what to expect about the court process, information about the judge, and insights on how to best manage my situation. I would highly recommend Peter!

Mr. Axelrod also negotiated a six figure buy-out for a tenant, a non-primary resident, despite the fact that the landlord had placed a camera in front of his door for a full year prior to the commencement of the litigation which demonstrated his absence.

Excellent Lawyer and Kind Person!
Peter is highly knowledgable, thorough, responsive, and empathetic.
He answered all my questions, explained my tenant rights and options, reviewed all the documents from my landlords lawyer, and helped me to settle my case with an outcome that I am very happy with. He was very available and responsive via text and phone call which was helpful. Having him on my side gave me a lot of peace of mind. I would recommend him to any tenant who is being unlawfully sued by their landlord.

Great Guy!!
Mr. Axelrod was referred to me by NYCBAR Legal Referral Service. I called him and was promptly connected to him. He gave me some quick advice a about a prior divorce issue and said to call him the next day and let him know how things worked out. I called the next day and was again promptly connected to him. Told him things worked out well and he prepared a letter for me and promptly emailed it to me. He was so nice and helpful and said there was no charge for this. Great guy!!

Quick Response and Very Helpful
I was referred to Peter by the New York City Bar Legal Referral Service. Peter was very quick in responding to my voicemail. I think it only took him 10 minutes to call me back and this was on a Friday so I am very appreciative. I think I wouldn't sleep over the weekend knowing this was hanging over my head. I told him about my situation with my landlord. He was very helpful! He deserves more than a 5 star rating. Thank you Peter!

Smart and to the Point
Peter was very responsive, candid, concise and smart regarding a real estate issue. Nothing like a lawyer who knows what he is talking about and gets right to the point.

Excellent Landlord Tennant Counsel for Manhattan
I contact Peter Axelrod for a landlord tenant related issue in Manhattan in April of 2015. He was extremely responsive, in fact he accommodated a same day meeting. Mr Axelrod answered all of my questions, provided insight and guidance based on knowledge of current litigation in the city, and provided me with an action plan to resolve my issue. I would recommend him to a friend and take his counsel in the future.

EXCELLENT FIRST CHOICE!!!!
I worked with Peter about 6years ago. He is an attentive and understanding lawyer. He followed up with us consistentely to update us about our case and we did win. Peter is not only a wise lawyer and does his job well and with ease, he makes you feel completely comfortable (almost like a friend) but obviously in a professional manner. Recently, I needed a formal follow- up letter. I was not surprised within 5minutes of getting off the phone with him, I received the letter prepared and ready to send. I highly recommend Peter!!! He will always be my first choice!! Thank you Peter:)

Peter A. Axelrod - I will be recommending his service.
Efficient and thorough, professional and sympathetic, straight-forward, competent, responsive, and humane; I have received initial consultation advice from him thus far, and I feel truly confident that Mr. Axelrod is whom I will choose to work with for any current or future real estate legal issues or questions.
