Don't waste your time with other lawyers, David is simply the best!

Being an attorney myself, I can tell you that when you find yourself in a divorce proceeding (a.k.a. a dissolution) almost everything is on the line. That's a fact! Your finances, your belongings, your family (especially if you have kids), your mental/physical health (perhaps) and your freedom - all ...can be affected to some extent by the decisions of the court. In Washington, the court has AMAZING power and very few limitations on what it can do in the interest of its perception of "fairness." Therefore, when you find yourself in a divorce proceeding, the one decision that is of the utmost importance is choosing an exceptional lawyer - David is that attorney. Back in 2011, unfortunately, my ex-wife and I decided to end our 13-year marriage. David was able to immediately assess the type of approach that would be the most effective and was able to implement that approach competently, compassionately, and expeditiously. Many lawyers don't have that many tools in their respective "tool boxes," so to speak. A lawyer who is of limited mind and ability, can be catastrophic for a client that is going through a divorce. The simple reality is that some dissolutions require a counselor or a mediator, while others may require a warrior; every situation is unique. David understands that and is able to provide what is appropriately necessary. Because David is very experienced (i.e. a quarter of a century of law practice under his belt) and intelligent (by my standards), he was able to assess the situation and provide the appropriate strategy to yield the most optimal outcome for me. Additionally, while I was going through that very difficult time, he listened to me, provided good advice, and overall I felt that no matter what, he had my back. As an aside, David has a good sense of humor, which was very much appreciated as everything seemed to be doom and gloom at the time. At the end of the day, if you find yourself in a divorce proceeding, you or your significant other probably made some bad decisions along the way. Don't make one more and go with any other attorney for your family law matter, make a good choice, and hire David Huber as your counselor/attorney.

Superb trial attorney for family matters

Six years ago I found myself newly pregnant and in a nasty divorce situation with my ex husband who is a local lawyer. I had just moved to the US so I had no local resources to ask for recommendations. I found David after reaching out to 35 attorneys/firms within the Seattle area, some of which wer...e not interested in my case, others which were not available and others which I did not feel would advocate properly given the complexity of the circumstances. Since my very first conversation with David, I knew he was the type of attorney I was looking for. Throughout my difficult 4 year divorce process, David remained clear in his communications, direct and yet compassionate; he showed high ethics and throughout the entire process he showed nothing less than being an honorable officer of the court. Every time we had to deal with an issue, it was clear he did proper research with all due diligence. During a lengthy process as mine was, there is always fear of what trial will be like. Two years after I hired him, I was able to see him advocate for me as a trial attorney. He is clearly an experienced, graceful and talented advocate with vast knowledge in family law and presented my case in a superb manner. The results at trial were all favorable to me because of David and his staff. While perhaps not apparent to the usual client, David's paralegal shares the same qualities he does making them an outstanding team to their clients. Most importantly, when one needs an attorney it is usually because one is facing a difficult personal situation. I never felt I was working with a cold blooded attorney or careless staff. I always felt that both David and Joy believed wholeheartedly in my cause which gave me a sense of confidence in a very difficult time. Even if the results had not been favorable as they were, I knew I had chosen the right advocate for me. Because my attorney/client relationship with David lasted so long, there were personal matters he faced through this period and despite that, it never reflected on the excellent quality of his work or his duties as an attorney. David will always be my first choice of attorney if I need legal representation without any doubt.

Knowledgeable and Compassionate

When my close friend died and named me executor of her estate, I had no idea what I was doing. David walked me through everything thing that needed to happen and made sure I understood what was going on. He was so compassionate and understanding, it really helped me through an emotional time when s...igning documents, filing paperwork, and settling an estate was the last thing I wanted to think about. David made sure all the papers were filed, notices were posted and family members notified. The estate settled without any issues and I thank David for making such a stressful time much easier to handle.
