Deanna is the founder and Managing Attorney of the international trade law firm, Clark-Esposito Law Firm, P.C. Based in New York, NY, she helps streamline the global business operations of importers and exporters across the country and the world. Focusing on assisting clients with matters involving US government agencies, including US Customs (CBP), BIS, OFAC, FTC, CPSC, TTB, FDA, and others, her knowledge further encompasses determining how to meet the legal requirements of foreign countries when exporting to them. Her firm provides legal services for exporters, importers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation providers, test labs, and more.
As an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.) in NYC, Deanna has taught International Business Law and International Business Transactions in its International Trade & Marketing Program. In the MBA (former) program at LIM College she taught Business Law, and has taught Business Law and International Business at Baruch College.
Deanna is the author of Bloomsbury Fairchild’s fashion law textbook entitled, "A Practical Guide to Fashion Law and Compliance," which is available in stores and online.
She received the 2020 Member of the Year award from the Organization of Women in International Trade after serving as the President of the NY Chapter and resurrecting the chapter back into existence, and further served as a Board Member to the NYC Fair Trade Coalition and the Urban Academy School for Global Commerce (Harlem, NYC).
Deanna received her B.A. from U.C. Berkeley, her M.A. from the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies at the Univ. of Malta, and her J.D. from Tulane University’s School of Law.
