Jane Orgel

Jane helped me with my first H-1B application, the work visa renewal and with a complicated Green Card application. She and her assistants explained everything to me very clearly and had a very organized and simple system of forms and checklists to help me collect the information and documents that t...hey needed to fill out the actual (much more complicated!!) government forms. She handled all the communication with my employer which was an immense relief since they had been less-than-helpful in my direct dealings with them. A friend had recommended Jane to me, and I want to pass that endorsement along amplified a hundred times. In addition to being clearly highly competent, Jane and her staff were incredibly understanding, friendly, and patient in dealing with my anxious repeated questions on the same issues. They were also very very responsive: Jane *always* replied to my emails in less than a day and more often within a matter of hours. My Green Card application was complicated by the fact that my employer had to re-advertise the position and Jane dealt with this process very effectively and smoothly. All in all, I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Ms. Orgel has been dealing with my case(s) for over 2 years now. After I had had a very bad experience with another lawyer and a previous visa application, she took care of my O1 (extraordinary ability in the sciences). The preparation period was very thorough but the visa was granted within one we...ek (it had been filed with premium processing). A little over a year later, I changed employer so I had to adjust my status. She recommended trying to obtain an extension, so we did and again very quickly I had my status adjusted and three more years to go. We are now in the process of filing the EB1 application. As always, there is uncertainty as to what the outcome will be, but I am fully confident my application has been and is in excellent hands. Communication has always been direct and fast, with quick replies to all my queries, despite the distance (while she works in NY, I have been in London, UK and California since I have known her). Her advice has always been sound and well reasoned, she keeps the overall case as a priority even though some decisions may not be the easier ones to make. Do expect to have to work with her on the process, you may need to work quite a bit in getting all the evidence together and in the best possible way. Not just sending a lot of copies of your documents. You can be sure your application will not be getting a standard cover letter and a bunch of photocopies attached to it, but a thorough work. Been there, seen the difference - and experienced the different results. Although I hope this will be the last time we have to file immigration applications, I will certainly recommend her to anyone in need for an immigration lawyer. My experience has been with a very particular type of Visa in which she specializes, but I am sure her working method should be the best guarantee for any type of visa or green card application.
