Zvi David Barkochba

I met Zvi when he was giving a lecture to the University of Chicago Alumni Association. His lecture was friendly, funny and highly informative. He was happy to answer everyone's questions and provided useful information that we could actually use. I contacted him after the lecture to retain him, beca...use I felt comfortable and confident in his ability and willingness to keep me informed. I am not at all upset with that decision.

I wanted to set up an estate plan, and Zvi was very helpful in the process. He explained what assets required a will, and which worked best in a trust. I was able to set up my affairs in a way that I can manage myself for now, and I know that once I am unable to care for myself, or go entirely, my fa...mily will understand my wishes. I think what made Zvi such a great attorney was that he took the time to understand what I wanted, and then explained to me how I could get there. I could tell that he cared, but was also being an absolute professional.

I was named an estate administrator for my parents and had some family planning to sort out after they died, including fighting siblings and assets in multiple states. Zvi was very helpful in suggesting how to satisfy everyone. We did not have any fights before the court, because we figured it all ou...t. I guess it was also important that my parents had a good trust and estate plan set up in advance, but I am grateful that Zvi helped me through the process.

Zvi is just about the best trustee and advisor to trusts out there. He is unbelievably ethical, and strives to truly understand what happiness means for his clients and their families. I cannot stress how amazing it is to have someone so thoroughly understand what will be in your best interests, and ...prepare the logistics necessary to execute on that subjective dream of happiness for one's self, or one's grandchildren, or so forth. He has a gift for honoring your legacy. He is also a pretty great lecturer, who occasionally gives free retirement strategy seminars that are really worth your time.
