Joshua Silber

Josh is a member of the New York, New Jersey and Florida Bars. Josh has been named to the NY SuperLawyers list as one of the top attorneys in New York State for 2011 & 2012 in the areas of Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice. SuperLawyers chooses no more than 5% of the total lawyers in the state for inclusion on their list of highly rated lawyers.

Josh has extensive experience in a broad variety of civil litigation matters. Throughout his career he has represented clients with many different types of matters, but mostly represents accident victims, injured persons and victims of malpractice. Josh has frequently served as "counsel to the profession" or trial counsel to other law firms and lawyers. In addition, he has acted as "local counsel" to law firms in other jurisdictions with litigation clients in New York. On several occasions Josh has represented lawyers or doctors involved in disciplinary proceedings. Josh has been appointed by the Chief Administrative Judge of the NYS Supreme Court in Manhattan to serve on the Court's Malpractice Case Management Committee. He serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Board of the 4000 + member New York State Trial Lawyers Association and is the Chairman of the Partnership for Justice Committee, a fund-raising arm of the Association. In addition, Josh has been designated by the US Bankruptcy Court and Trustees as a mediator in a substantial number of malpractice cases involving uninsured or bankrupt hospitals, helping plaintiffs and defendants reach amicable settlements on cases which languished for many years before mediation. Josh has obtained many substantial verdicts and/or settlements for his clients, including many cases with million dollar plus recoveries.  Josh is a frequent lecturer on medical malpractice and personal injury law and is a Dean of the New York State Trial Lawyers Insitute, New York's leading continuing legal education provider.
