Brian William Brokate

I am head of Gibney's Intellectual Property Practice Group. I have extensive experience in the application of intellectual property law and investigatory and enforcement procedures to combat the infringement and counterfeiting of trademarks and copyrights. I am a specialist in the area of anti-counterfeiting and anti-piracy and have handled all stages of civil anti-counterfeiting and infringement litigation.

In addition to my practice, which also includes bankruptcy and commercial litigation, I am the Treasurer, Member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition, Inc. (IACC) and have been heavily involved in the lobbying efforts for the creation of and amendments to 18 USC Section 2320 and other state and federal laws related to anti-counterfeiting. As a member of the International Trademark Association, I am involved in the AntiCounterfeiting Committee and the China Task Force.
