Steven Vyacheslav Melnik

I retained Mr.Steven Melnik for his services after meeting with him at his office in the Rockefeller center in NYC for $6,500.00 at the end of 2014. Since which I have repeatedly tried to speak to Mr. Melnik (or his associate Mr. Johnson) but never got past leaving a message with his secretary, whom... assured me each time that I would receive a call back in regards to my case. I have no idea if anything was even submitted by either one of them. So aside from my 20 minute initial consult I have not spoken to or heard from Melnik Law Group. There was an error made by Mr. Melnik on my contract, which has not been corrected due to the fact that I can't reach him. It is now Tax season and time to file. I am upset, worried and in limbo.

I would like to start off by saying that Steve showed professionalism to me during our very expensive consultation which his secretary told us he would waive if we decided to retain him. I decided to retain him because he sounded knowledgeable and he still charged me for the consultation. Once you re...tain him, the professionalism goes out the door. He was retained to perform a trust which he promised would be ready in a couple of weeks. A month and a half passes by, my credit card was charged and the trust was still not ready. I called his office many times trying to get in contact with him. Secretary takes down my name and tells me that someone will call you back. After the fifth time calling throughout the week, I got in contact with one of his assistants and was told that the trust has been finished, reviewed and was being mailed out. Two weeks passed and I never received any documents. This is insane. With the thousands of dollars he charged me the least he can do is call me to tell me what is going on. Never did!! You will never get in contact with him. Getting in contact with him or his unprofessional staff is very difficult. Please do yourself a a favor and stay away from this expensive unprofessional attorney who puts on a good show during consultations and takes a very long time to deliver breaking deadlines he mentioned in the consultation. Stay Away!

The face-to-face and phone conversations with the office staff were professional and pleasant. They answered my many questions clearly, in great detail and made necessary adjustments to future steps. I would like to say a special thank you to Gayane Galstyan who worked on my case extensively. She is exceptionally professional! I always found her to be incredibly attentive, tactful, polite and patient. If she wasn't able to answer my call and I left a message, she gave me a call back almost immediately. Any time that I would call her or stop by the office, she knew exactly what was going on with my case. As a result, all the documents were collected and signed on time. After the creation of my Trust I never encountered any issues with it. I look back on my experience with the Melnik Law Group with gratitude.
