I would avoid dealing with this lawyer if you can - there are many other attorneys out there skilled in the real estate process. He mis-read a document sent from the seller's attorney, and I had to fact-check it myself even when I has asked him if he checked the particular line item (he hadn't). ...And then when I tried to call him to clarify, he kept claiming he was in multiple closings (how can there be that many in a day), and refuses to pick up my call. When he finally called back, he was impolite and dismissive. He only grudgingly acknowledged the flaw later on. Spare yourself the headache. He does the basics, but you don't need an attorney who just deals with the basics. You need someone who treats a large 1M transaction for the value that it represents to your life.
