I have worked with Michael a number of times to handle the purchase, refinance and sale of my coop in New York City, In a market filled with over-priced and unresponsive people, Michael really stands out. He is extremely helpful and responsive--I rarely waited more than a half hour to hear back from ...him and most times responses were in real time. There are attorneys who charge twice his rate and can't hold a candle to the way he treats clients. Michael is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in managing the confusing and stressful process of purchasing a co op in NYC and I knew that I could count on him to insure that everything was done properly. On my refi, when the building management company put my rate lock in jeopardy, Michael jumped in to save the day, worked with the mortgage lender, got the needed approvals and closed at his office in the nick of time. I will be forever grateful. That's why, when the time came to choose an attorney for the sale of my apartment, Michael was the natural choice. Once again, he took the stress out of the process and helped me to effect a timely and easy close, even though I was out of town on the close date. Many things about buying a co op are difficult. When I closed on my home years ago, Michael Posner was recommended by a friend, and thanks to him, the closing went smoothly, without a hitch, and I was well-informed every step of the way. So, years later, when my elderly mother, who was in her nineties, helpless, with no savings or equity, and livi...ng strictly on social security and Medicaid for her home care, was facing a cruel foreclosure action, out of desperation, I called Michael. My poor mother, who was unaware, and soon after suffered from dementia, only wished to finish her days at home, “surrounded by her memories.” Frustrated by the fact that I didn’t have the resources to pay what was needed to make the foreclosure go away, I called Michael. He immediately explained my options to me, appeared for her and me every time, so I never even had to go to court on her behalf, and his assistance allowed my mother the extra years to live at home until she got her wish, and peacefully passed there at age 98! For that, I will never, ever forget him! But my story doesn’t end there! Last year, due to some unfortunate family circumstances beyond my control, I found myself facing foreclosure. So, once again, I called Michael Posner! This was a situation where I needed time, which I didn’t have, until I was in a position to bring myself current. This took many months. Michael once again appeared for me, filing the necessary papers, and buying me the time until I was able to gather enough funds to bring my account up to date. Again, he kept me well-informed. It’s safe to say that Michael Posner saved my mother’s home, as well as mine, from foreclosures. I’ve been current ever since, but Michael navigated me through two desperate crises. And for the priceless service he provided my mom and me, his fee was extremely reasonable, to say the least! Needless to say, I highly recommend him to anyone who needs assistance in any real estate matter. He’s three for three with me, and I will forever be grateful to him!
