I hired this lawyer, to remove a whole bunch of liens, that had been placed on my 2 family house in Staten Island, NY. Since, many properties in Staten Island do not have deed records, that can be accessed online, oftentimes, it is hard to know what you owe, and what has attached as a lien on the pr...operty. John helped me remove the lien and record the payoff letter, at the fraction of the price of what other lawyers in the area wanted to charge. Thank you John!!!!!

I was at a bad financial situation 4 years ago. I considered bankrupcy, but every lawyer told me that very little of my debt was dischargeable. John Kiritsis was the first and only attorney who explained to me what bankrupcy is and how it affects my tax situation and how to come the other end. We... set up a series of LLCs owned by an asset protection plan to place liquid assets, to put out of reach of creditors and the bankrupcy trustee. I was able to get almost all debt wiped out, and set up a system where not only I have a nest egg when I retire, but I put money to avoid paying taxes. I have hired this lawyer numerous times in the last few years, ever since, when my CPA firm grew to a substantial size that it needed a lawyer on a retainer. He is the lawyer that accountants call for anything ranging from clarifying ambiguities in the 20,000+ pages of tax regulations, tax audit representation, order corporate/llc kits, attorney opinion letters, or accounting malpractice advice. The most memorable thing, I can say about a case I hired this lawyer to represent me, is when I hired him to help me resolve a highly adversarial proceeding, against a highly unusual overzealous tax auditors daring us to go to the tax court route, to the point of not willing even to consider a compromise on a $34,000 tax assessment even after 8 months of tax controversy. His legal representation, helped in the very favorable resolution of that case, resulting in: a $6,500 tax refund (we walked out with a check), the tax auditor agreeing to close on the settlement sheet stipulation without prejudice for all tax year returns under audit, all in a matter of under 20 minutes (15 minutes consisting of John reviewing the tax returns under audit, 1 minute going over things with me, and 4 minutes storming in the tax auditor's office, and go over our newly bolstered tax position arguments, with the tax auditor's supervisor). SIMPLY THE BEST!!!! I would recommend this lawyer to anyone with challenging tax issues, and business owners looking to streamline their tax and business organization compliance requirements; but, I would especially recommend him to accountants looking for a reliable, very knowledgeable, and affordable tax lawyer to help them with unusual cases, as well as, to order llc/corporate kits, while keeping their customers, prices low and themselves out of some type of unauthorize practicing of law situation. CPAs, even the ones with 15+ year in practice, and advanced tax credentials (ie. MS in Tax and former enrolled agent to practice before the IRS in tax court), are often too skeptical to use a tax attorney, even in cases where lawyer's creativity, assertiveness and knowledge of evidentiary type of tax defenses is what is needed. Many tax lawyer's simply don't know how the tax forms work, and seem overeager to appear as pit bull against the tax auditor, both of which can result in a total disaster for the client or pyrrhic victory where the IRS expands the scope of the audit. You won't have that problem with this lawyer (he is a CPA himself with experience at small, mid size and big 4 accounting firms, as well as stints with the IRS and Tax Courts). GREAT LAWYER!!!
