Thoughtful, Thorough, Efficient and Effective

I and my partner were extremely lucky to have found Ms. Cindy Yau from a network of attorneys via ARAG - a service provided through my employer. Cindy helped us with a revocable living trust and revised our will. Compared to our experience getting our first will, working with Cindy was such a refres...hing and positive change. First, most attorneys would delegate cases like ours to a paralegal, never meeting the client. Cindy insisted on meeting us personally to understand our needs. This reduced the chance of miscommunication for our case. Throughout the process, Cindy was knowledgeable, articulate, and thoughtful. She guided us through all aspects of estate planning we needed to consider. She was also thorough and detail-oriented, letting us know possible consequences of certain terms we never even thought of. She was also efficient and effective, we were able to get our case done in a short matter of two weeks, as opposed to the two months taken by our last attorney to do our first will. Throughout all our interactions, she gave us full attention, and when we were not meeting in person, she responded to my emails quickly. It was such a wonderful experience, I would definitely go back to her for any of my future legal needs.

RUN IF YOU CAN

Unfortunately I hired Cindy as my divorce attorney. Dealing with her was harder than the process of divorce itself. She failed in so many ways, but I will try to keep in short. 1) my divorce was the easiest type: no kids, no assets division... NOTHING. just sign the papers. Even so she managed to hav...e information from an old client of hers on my divorce paperwork ! Such as wrong country... saying we had children etc... just awful! 2) Be aware, after i made a full payment, she did not finished the job, nor answered the emails/calls. 3) She took a long time to get back to me every time I contact her. 4) I had to push her to get anything done... it was so tiring. 5) my ex husband's lawyer highlighted numerous grammar mistakes written by her on our divorce decree. I could keep going on and on... even mentioning about her questionable character, but I will just tell you this instead: I wouldn't recommend her to my worse enemy!
