Mark A. Haddad

Mark is the founder and managing partner of Flatiron Law Group LLP, a next generation law firm with offices in NY, Silicon Valley and The Research Triangle Park. Formerly he was a practice chair at a global law firm and general counsel to an investment manager operating through offices in the US, Europe and Asia.

Mark starts any engagement by listening to make sure he fully understands the legal needs and business objectives of a client. He then plans the work to meet the “more-for-less” challenge for every client.

The work Mark does for clients includes mergers & acquisitions and general corporate matters, securities offering and venture capital, secured and unsecured lending and borrowing and other financial matters, asset management and investment funds, clean energy and infrastructure projects and technology transactions of all types.

He also represents family offices and advises high net worth individuals on structuring and managing investments allocated across asset classes and countries, including alternative investments in hedge funds, private equity, managed futures, real estate and commodities and derivatives contracts. We advise family office on structures designed for better control and privacy, wealth building, risk management and preservation of assets and succession planning. We help them to coordinate business functions, gather and organize information crucial for decision-making and meet record and reporting responsibilities.

The firm also represents startups of new ventures. Mark's work includes formation, licensing and protection IP, financing transactions (including debt, equity and strategic alliances), employment (including policies and practices and executive compensation) and real estate matters, always with long term exit strategies in mind.

The firm’s technology team represents developers, owners, licensors, licensees and buyers of intellectual property and technology on the full range of transactions to commercialize IP and technology assets.
