I honestly couldn't have navigated the complicated task of filing for divorce without Ruth's assistance. I met Ruth when she was working for Court Square Law project– a non-profit organization that provides legal services for low-income individuals. In the middle of my divorce, Ruth decided to start her own law office. This impacted me deeply because it just showed me Ruth's commitment to the hard situation that me and my family were going through. Being an immigrant, without any kind of support or network in the U.S., and little money, her commitment made a huge difference. I felt supported not only legally but also emotionally. On a more technical note, my divorce was extremely complicated. In addition to the normal difficulties of any divorce, one of the main problems we faced during the custody negotiations was triggered by the fact that my ex and I are non-American citizens but our two kids are. Even though this situation required expertise on other areas of the law–i.e., immigration– Ruth was always well-prepared and did the necessary research to be well-informed every time we had to deal with the other party, the mediators, and the judge. I feel lucky I had the chance to have Ruth on my side during this taxing period of my life. She answered my questions in a timely manner and protected my interest in the best way she could giving the circumstances. In summary; a compassionate, well-prepared, knowledgeable, and professional lawyer. I highly recommend Ruth.
