Maryam Jahedi

Maryam is my current attorney. I had a very messy and problematic lawyer prior, and then I switched over to Maryam in hopes of getting my case cleaned up and moving forward. Maryam helped me get everything I needed together. She was super communicative and responsive to me throughout the entire proce...ss, and she continues to work on my case with the utmost diligence and care. It gives so much peace of mind to have such a great lawyer. I can’t recommend her enough!

My case hasn't ended yet, but Ms. Jahedi began work on it as soon as I called for the consult (I consulted over 10 attorneys) but retained her immediately. It is important to find a defense attorney that is responsive, and if needed, aggressive- but I genuinely wanted an attorney that truly listene...d, someone who thoroughly reviews evidence (and I sent a 65 page PDF of evidence and my statement), then comes up with a strategy that allows your voice to be heard. Some attorneys I noticed some to not review the actual evidence or facts, perhaps they don't care whether they think you are guilty or innocent (I cared). The entire process is daunting (personally thankful at the last minute I opted not to attend Law School, but a different graduate program), yet I believe I can get through it, because my attorney, Ms. Jahedi, understands who I am, the circumstances fully and what is at stake for me. She is also cognizant of the stress one is under; some attorneys approach you and it automatically puts you on the defensive. Ms. Jahedi approached me with a calm demeanor, allowing me to present the issues, and made me comfortable enough to share the entirety of the case. One thing Ms. Jahedi especially does well is updating the client (because I assume many clients would be like I am, fully unfamiliar with the proceedings and emotionally stressed by the entire process). Within the few weeks she has worked on my case, I get updates on each stage. She was even able to get things processed more quickly than planned. I do suggest consulting a number of attorneys to find the right "fit", and be comfortable with your choice, because it could be a long working relationship (obviously you never hope to need an attorney but you cannot predict the future). I am glad I did consult a number of attorneys, but I would be surprised if anyone does not find Ms. Jahedi as the perfect fit. Lastly, for some, and particularly me, retainer fees were a concern, given the sad complexities of my the case. I found her retainer reasonable, especially for the quality she has already demonstrated.

Maryam Jahedi is a wonderful attorney. She seems to really care about her clients and i was very impressed with the way she spoke and handled herself.. the probation department did not recommend my relief of disability it because it was there policy. the DA also did not recommend it because the pr...obation dept did not recommend it. a real catch 22 situation, but the judge approved it regardless of the recommendations of the probation dept and district attorney. without maryam there i do not believe i would have been approved.
