Mr. Mysliwiec is a founding partner of Miedel & Mysliwiec, LLP, a boutique litigation firm that specializes in helping individuals and companies in criminal, civil, and regulatory matters. Our lawyers know how stressful it is to be the subject of a government investigation or to be confronted by criminal charges, and as a small firm, we are able to offer our clients the individualized and personal attention they deserve. With more than 35 years of combined experience in criminal and civil litigation, we have built a reputation for toughness, integrity, and dogged advocacy on behalf of our clients.
Aaron Mysliwiec has defended clients such as a Fortune 500 company investigating contract fraud to a senior citizen charged with attempted murder who could not afford to pay a lawyer. He strongly believes that no matter who you are or what you've been accused of doing, you deserve to have someone in your corner.
Mr. Mysliwiec's practice includes defending clients against "white collar" criminal charges and against criminal charges such as murder, rape, terrorism, and narcotics distribution. This representation involves defending clients in both state and federal courts in New York and in other state and federal courts around the country.
He has successfully tried cases involving charges that range from Money Laundering to Grand Larceny to First Degree Murder to Material Support for Terrorism to First Degree Rape. He has also obtained dismissals in hundreds of cases and negotiated hundreds of desirable plea bargains on behalf of his clients.
Mr. Mysliwiec graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1997 and from Carleton College in 1993. He is admitted to the bar in New York. He has also been admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of Minnesota, the Northern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Fifth Circuit. In addition, Mr. Mysliwiec is a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College's trial skills program.
In addition to Mr. Mysliwiec's experience, he is a Board Member and President-Elect for the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has also lectured and trained other lawyers on topics such as jury selection, cross-examination, closing argument, and the illegal imposition of post-release supervision on New York State prisoners and he has contributed materials to a National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyer training on litigating an "eye-witness" identification case. Finally, Mr. Mysliwiec has also appeared on Court TV's The Best Defense.

I was referred to Aaron by a friend with whom he had worked at the Bronx Defenders office, and when I first met him, I was nervous, confused, and in need of answers. During our initial consultation, he did more than just answer my questions. He listened, he was attentive, and he cared. Equally imp...

I started this process in December 2014.. I called a few lawyers and was discouraged. I read some reviews about Aaron and said that I needed to give him a call! Making that call, changed my life. When initially speaking with Aaron, I knew that I would hire him. He was honest and upfront. I was ar...

About a year and a half ago, I was facing some serious legal charges that could have resulted in serious jail time and possibly deportation from the United States. I had spoken to a few lawyers before being introduced to Aaron and honestly, they made me feel as though there was no hope for me in my ...

He understands what it takes to successfully represent someone in a criminal case, and he has the skills and tenacity to accomplish that goal. Any client who hires Aaron to represent them can rest assured in the knowledge that they have a lawyer who meets the highest standards of what a lawyer should be: honest, zealous and singularly effective at representing their cause."
"I have had the unique opportunity of not only collaborating with Aaron as a colleague but receiving supervision from him as a law student. It goes without saying that Aaron is a tremendous criminal defense attorney, aggressive yet restrained. Aaron sets the bar for what a complete criminal defense attorney should be."

"I have worked with Aaron Mysliwiec on a number of state and federal cases over the years. He is an exceptionally lawyer. It is rare to find a lawyer, like Aaron, who is both unusually diligent and meticulous while, at the same time, fiercely aggressive and forward leaning in pursuing the interests of his clients. He is the first call I make when I need expert advice on criminal matters. His combination of intellect, skill and experience make him a formidable criminal defense attorney."
"Aaron is a talented and aggressive criminal defense attorney. He has a fantastic reputation in the legal community and is well-respected. He is a tireless advocate with tremendous experience. I whole heartedly recommend him for anyone who needs representation or counsel"
"Aaron Mysliwiec is an excellent criminal defense lawyer who fights hard for his clients' liberty. As a fellow white collar defense lawyer, I often call upon Aaron for his insight and knowledge of the law. I have known Aaron for almost 20 years and strongly recommend him."
"I have known Aaron for the entirety of his legal career. He is incredibly intelligent, well-informed and a tenacious advocate. If I were ever on the wrong side of the law I would want him in my corner."
"Aaron is a creative problem solver, an aggressive advocate, and a nice guy. But most importantly, he's a hell of a lawyer."
"I have been familiar with Mr. Mysliwiec's work for many years. He is a credit to his profession and a great resource for his clients. I highly recommend his work."
