Top Notch Attorney

I contacted Hinch Newman and Richard to assist my family's company with a licensing issue we were have with the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs. We were concerned that we would lose our towing license. Richard was able to avoid a lengthy, costly court hearing and straighten out the lice...nsing issue by contacting the right people. He was thorough, persistent and asked the right questions. Richard also secured for us a temporary license until the issue was resolved. He showed a deep concern with the effect that an unfavorable outcome would have on operations and made our matter a priority. I would strongly recommend Richard to anyone that is looking for a knowledgeable New York Department of Consumer and Worker Protection/Department of Consumer Affairs attorney that cares. We could not be happier with the service and result. Thanks Richard!

Absolutely the BEST!

Richard is professional, helpful, and a great communicator. He is absolutely the best you can find with regard to FTC and Attorney General related matters. I would not hesitate to contact him again and would refer him to anyone needing his services.

Possibly the best FTC attorney in the country right now

I contacted Richard after seeing him interviewed on CNN pertaining to FTC and a well known celebrity. I always do my due diligence when hiring anyone for my company and I'm privileged to know a few very good lawyers in other specialties. When I mentioned Richard's name they immediately said he's on...e of the top 3 FTC lawyers in the country. During our first conversation he took time and explained to me the complexities of the law and what he could do and what I had to watch out for. He's very straightforward and pulls no punches because he's passionate about his work and truly cares about his clients. He has navigated me through some very perilous situations and I would trust my company to no one but Richard.

Excellent Caring Lawyer with a Unique Skill Set

Richard Newman really cares. I came to him as a result of a CID from the FTC. I carefully read reviews of multiple attorneys and found that Richard appeared to have the most experience in this field. I was nervous when I made the initial call. It was under an hour before I was on the phone with him. ... During our first call he immediately demonstrated to me that he knew this territory well. He took time to explain what the process was, and his ways of approaching similar cases in the past. I was reassured by the breadth and depth of knowledge in this area. These skills are not easy to find. He also reassured me that he was just a phone call away if I needed him. And yes, I needed him, I needed him a lot. Through the four months of the response to the CID, Richard lawyered, wordsmithed and performed general magicry that somehow transformed my clumsy responses into beautifully presented effective legal narratives. Richard both cared and took incredible pride in his work. He was in the trenches with me and fought for me above and beyond my expectations. The end result was a home run – the investigation was closed. My experience with Richard was truly life changing. If you are reading this, you are probably nervous. Rest assured that Richard has the experience, motivation and heart to get you through this.

Richard is a rock star!

Richard Newman came highly recommended by my transaction attorney when I was served a CID by the FTC. Within the first 10 minutes of speaking with him on the phone, I knew he was the best lawyer to represent me in the FTC investigation because he's extremely knowledgeable about FTC matters and is pa...ssionate about defending clients in FTC cases. Upon engaging his services, I relied on his expert advice in successfully navigating the precarious regulatory landscape and its potential land mines -- and that reduced my stress levels considerably because I knew we were proceeding in the best possible path. Richard speaks truthfully, and I particularly admire that he always acts in good faith. I also liked the fact that he was always mindful about minimizing his billable hours because he's so considerate of his clients' legal expenses. The best part is that my case with the FTC resulted in a settlement amount that was a small fraction of what it would have been if I had not had Richard to navigate the terrain and negotiate on my behalf. I'm extremely pleased with the outcome -- Richard is a rockstar!
