A remarkable attorney, a real credit to his profession.

When my wife and I decided to get married in Europe (I am American, she is European) we started looking into the best way to complete her immigration into the US. After spending some weeks educating ourselves we decided to hire an attorney, and we started to interview several. We picked the top three... in the NYC area, as determined by a variety of professional rating services. From the start he was clearly vastly superior to the others. Our situation was a little unusual due to my occupation keeping us traveling around the globe quite a bit. The other two attorneys we met with responded to our complicated situation with either confusion or slight trepidation. In sharp contrast Stu quickly grasp the details, and displayed excellent understanding of the situation. His knowledge and expertise immediately shown through, and was repeatedly on display during the entire process. One particularly impressive note; he predicted the timing of events for the whole process from the start, not small feat when it comes to the timing involved in Permanent Residency. Now with the benefit of hind-sight we can see just how accurate he was. I believe this is directly related to his attention to detail. However as impressive as his professional skills were, his communication skills were even more amazing. He was kind and competent in the way he conveyed information. His questions were tactful and helpful. He showed real concern every step of the way, and treated each and every one of our concerns as of utmost importance. Regardless of the time zones between us at any time he was there when we needed him. I would emphatically recommend him to anyone needing a top shelf immigration attorney!!!

Outstanding lawyer!! I am impressed

I am impressed with Stu. I was researching on line about an immigration issue and I decided to ask Stu Reich in two different occasions. I got an answer very quick and even though I had a lawyer in Florida, I have to say that Stu answers were more clear, better responsiveness, and better customer ser...vice than my own attorney. He really takes the time to answer your questions. If it is not because 10 days later after my question I got my Green Card, he would be my attorney. I highly recommend him as he is very knowledgeable and gives you a lot of suggestions.

Professional, hard-working, pleasure to work with

Stuart was instrumental in helping me secure a visa for one of my employees. He was very responsive and hard working and capable of answering my many questions about the process. In addition, because we are a young company, he was capable of handling many bumps in the road in order to successfully ...secure my employee a visa.

Employment-based Extraordinary Ability case

Stuart Reich is an excellent Immigration Lawyer. We have started working with him 4 years ago. He was the only one who took our request seriously and helped us finding a way to get a permanent residency visa. He took the time to look through our documents and answered our question without sending a...n agreement and a bill before we even knew whether we had a possible case or not. With his help we finally found the right category of visa to apply for a green card: an employment-based Extraordinary Ability visa! He prepared all the documents, did thorough research and texted recommendation letters as needed. Stuart was always responsive, kept us informed. Eventually in July 2008 we had the interview at the American Embassy in our home country and got the permanent residency visa into our passports. Meanwhile we got our green cards - thanks to Stuart Reich!

Client Review

I recently had the pleasure of having Stuart handle my greencard application. Not only was he very knowledgeable, but he was extremely responsive. I very much appreciated receiving immediate responses, all of which always addressed the questions posed. Beyond the excellant ratings I have given him,... I would also like to mention that Stuart is both personable and professional. All these qualities render him a great immigration lawyer and I will be recommending him to others.

Relationship: Friend

"I have had the pleasure and honor to know and work with Stuart for more years than I think either of us would wish to admit! As Co-Chair of the Committee on Immigration and Nationality of the New York County Lawyers' Association, I have had to organize many CLE courses, and Stu has always been ready and willing to share his knowledge, and his reviews have always been outstanding. Highly competent, thoughtful, professional, and caring are only some of the words I would use to describe him. A client can rest assured that they have chosen a great lawyer if their choice is Stuart Reich."

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"Stuart and I are members of the New York County Lawyers’ Association (NYCLA) Immigration Committee. I first met Stuart years ago at one of the Committee’s meetings; since then, both of us have attended numerous such meetings. In addition, I have referred numerous employment-based cases to him; it is a subspecialty of immigration law that I do not handle, as I have limited my practice to family-based immigration. On the basis of the tremendous knowledge of the law, as well as the graciousness to his colleagues, that Stuart always displays at these NYCLA meetings; my personal and professional communications with him over the years; and the extremely favorable feedback regarding his work and personality that I have consistently received from clients whose cases I have referred to him, I have only the utmost respect and affection for this extraordinarily capable and conscientious lawyer."

"I highly recommend Stu Reich. He is a top-notch immigration attorney and a wonderful person. We first met while working as attorneys at an immigration law firm in 1997, and have remained in contact since that time. Over the years, we have worked on projects for the New York Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association such as the advocacy/media committee and a 2009 article and presentation at the AILA NY Chapter conference. I consider Stu to have a comprehensive knowledge of employment-based immigration. He also is well-versed in the use of technology for law firms and always is able to explain the latest developments and how they help us in the practice of law. He is a great lawyer and a great friend."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
