Hope lost
I hired Fred Vasselman to file and domesticate a judgement and he failed to do. So.My whole experience was negative.I lost my judgement that I have been fighting for many years! because of his incompetence.
This comment was originally taken down by the AVVO administrator because it was written by my client's son who suffers from a mental illness caused by a motorcycle accident. It has been posted again with the same language under the appearance that it's now my client speaking. Hence, "anonymous". I'll clarify regardless. I was retained to simply domesticate a State of Florida Supreme Court civil judgment in New York for the purposes of putting a lien on the debtor's home located on Long Island. The debtor filed for bankruptcy during the process which by law put an automatic stay on any collection activity including the domestication of a civil judgment for debt collection purposes. The court granted the debtor bankruptcy preventing any lien being put on their home in New York. The Florida judgment was not lost and the client was advised to contact their Florida attorneys for further counsel which they did. The client lost nothing but the option of putting a lien on the debtor's house in New York. The client's State of Florida civil judgment remains valid and fully enforceable. Information of which they are fully aware of. Thank you.
"I endorse this lawyer. Mr. Vasselman was instrumental in helping to bring a contentious matter to a mutually satisfactory conclusion. I found him to be perceptive, responsive and true to his word as well as a good advocate for his client."
"Fred is a great attorney and an even better person. His ability to work underpressure is unmatched. It was my privilege to work with him on numerous matters."
