I want to take the time to thank and let you all know how diligent and compassionate MR. Buckvar was in both taking my case (When it was quiet complicated). As well as his steadfast determination and erudite understanding of legalese on my behalf to help me recoup losses ...and get a settlement to ...help me move past my injuries.

I was referred to Eric by a friend of mine who is also an attorney. My friend told me that Eric is the best, and he was right. This was an injury that resulted from a fall on uneven concrete in front of a store. I sustained permanent scarring on my face. The case was complicated in that we were re...quired to make claims against both NYC and the store owner. Eric was thorough and clear. He explained all options and potential outcomes. He kept me informed every step of the way and prepared me for several depositions. Thankfully, the case did not need to go to trial and the ultimate settlement was very satisfactory. During this period an additional issue arose. My medical insurance did not cover most of the costs related to the plastic surgery I required. The plastic surgeon charged a fee far beyond the market rate and insisted on immediate payment. Although the surgeon received some of the fee, I was waiting for the settlement to pay the balance. However, we kept getting invoices that compounded Interest at a userous rate. Eric attempted to negotiate a reasonable settlement, but was consistently refused. Ultimately, believing this was a battle worth fighting, Eric threatened court action. Based on Eric's actions, the surgeon's office waived the interest and agreed to wait for final payment until the settlement was received. Throughout this entire ordeal, Eric was a strong and relentless advocate as well as a caring and compassionate person. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I was referred to Eric Buckvar by an attorney in NJ in response to my request for "a good lawyer in NYC who can help me win a personal injury case". I called his office, and he spent quite a long time on the phone with me, listening to my story of falling in a pothole in a crosswalk in NYC, and ask...ing clarifying questions. After he visited the site of the accident, he told me that he felt I had a strong case. As it turned out, the case became complicated because we were suing multiple companies as well as NYC, and no one was willing to admit to any negligence. I attended several depositions, was sent to numerous doctors at the request of the defendants and had to withstand several of the companies wanting to be dismissed from the case. Mr. Buckvar was very patient with me and always accepted my calls. He kept me informed about any progress in the case. He hired two expert witnesses on my behalf. In other words, he was very thorough in his preparation. Although he told me that my case could be settled at any time, it turned out that we did have to go to trial. My husband and I had never been involved in a court case, so everything was new to us. Mr. Buckvar explained in great detail exactly what was transpiring and why, which put us at ease. During the trial, I was very impressed with how prepared Mr. Buckvar was, compared to at least one of the defense attorneys.
