Fantastic lawyer with integrity

Jordan fought for me when I was denied unemployment benefits from my previous employer. I was completely unfamiliar with the process, but Jordan walked me through it and urged me to continue with the process when it seemed like I had no chance of winning my case. He was patient, thorough, and articul...ate -- qualities that are invaluable, but seldom found. I would recommend him as a lawyer without hesitation.

BEST 3020 lawyer

Jordan was fantastic in representing me during my 3020a case. Jordan was not only a lawyer but became a therapist and a friend. He is very responsive and easy to communicate with. I would not have gotten through the hardest part of my life without him. He has an extensive background in NYCDOE and edu...cation law. He was a huge advocate and put in a lot of work during my case. I would recommend Jordan for anyone needing an employment attorney!

Professional Gladiator in the Court - Knowledgeable, Honest and Thorough

I highly recommend Jordan Harlow. To prepare for my unemployment hearing, Jordan spent several hours reviewing the details of my case, documentation, testimony and supporting evidence. Since I reside outside of the state in which my hearing was taking place, communication was crucial, and Jor...dan did NOT disappoint. He was very responsive over email and phone to any questions or concerns that I had leading up to my case. I felt very prepared and confident on the day of my hearing. Jordan attended my hearing (which lasted for 2 hours!) while I participated over the phone. His cross-examination of my prior employer and their witnesses as well as his ending case statement were powerful and effective - he clearly did his due diligence to prepare for my case, and as a result, we won! Thank you, Jordan, for your excellent client services!

3020a Lawyer

Jordan is a hard working lawyer who went above and beyond to represent me during my 3020a hearing. He was very prepared to question my witnesses and cross examine those who were representing the DOE. He has a lot of patience and does the research to understand what the arbiter expects from the case... he was representing. He is highly recommended for future cases.

What a lawyer SHOULD BE!

Jordan Harlow is the perfect example of how a lawyer SHOULD BE! I was faced with a disability discrimination case against my previous employer and this was not all about the money to me but restoring my name and reputation. Attorneys I contacted in my area of Central New York told me I didn't have... a case against a "private" company but Jordan, who is 300 miles away, listened thoroughly to my complaint and was upfront and honest to what I could expect. He advised that getting "probable cause" to go forward to hearing in New York State was rare, but with his expertise, that is what I got! And with his great negotiating skills, he reached a settlement without having to go to hearing. He was a wonderful ally through this and also doubled as a "psychiatrist" when needed due to my excitable nature. :) I highly recommend Jordan - he is honest, caring and competent. Thank you Jordan for giving me back my good name!

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
